Thats how depression feels for me as well. I've also been called those names I feel like a lot of ppl don't understand what its like unless they have depression. I hope one day I can find a partner or boyfriend that knows how to help or back me with depression if that makes sense.

I've known people like your ex friend who says "I'm ok with you doing something but I'm really not and you should know that and because you should know that and you still did it after I said it was ok I am now going to get mad at you" like what?! I'm glad that you saw that and decided that you needed each other not that person. Also I always figured you both would be good parents. Interesting that you don't want kids. I have a friend who doesn't want kids. Kids are not for everyone and it is good that you know that you both are on the same page. Also you description of depression was spot on because the same thing happens to me.
