Jeff Lauriel well, he clearly doesn't. Or they'd get higher ratings. Plus, there's no denying MCU movies have a formula they follow and don't stray from. Ever. After 20 movies in a row of the same routine, any franchise will start to feel a little stale.

From the reasons he gave he a lot of them apply to older mcu movies which he loved. He clearly loves the mcu and he showed it and he is just faking it. If you notice yes the follow the formula. they do change it up every time since the end of phase 2. If you also notice Infinity War completely dumps that formula and kind of does not feel like an mcu movies. Spider Man is coming of age story, Gotg is a space opera, Cap 2 is a political thriller, Ant Man is heist, Infinity War epic, Black Panther Family drama, Gotg 2 family comedy, Thor 3 buddy comedy. This proves that the mcu is trying to differ form movie to movie and try not to keep it generic. The main reason i think they keep the formula because people like it and the box office results for marvel and their increase in popularity is accelerating. Why would they dump it if almost everybody like it and just picky haters like you are trying to kill the hype.

Jeff Lauriel if it wasn't for the fact that thanos "wins" and we wait for part 2, IW would be exactly like the other 2 avengers movies in terms of tone/approach. Right down to the action beats and humor. And using a different genre doesn't mean they're dumping the formula. The marvel formula involves a lot humor, usually crappy villains, decent action, etc. Putting that stuff in a spy thriller and then a heist movie doesn't prove they're changing it up. It just shows marvel is taking their formula and applying it to a spy thriller and then a heist movie. It's like claiming force awakens isn't a new hope ripoff because the characters have different names. But they still use 85% of the same plot so yea, it kinda is. So no. The mcu doesn't change things up as often you think. And that's what's happening with Jeremy. He's noticing it's the same product with little variations and he's starting to get a tad burnt out.

I did not say dump the formula. Infinity War did dump it. Tell me what mcu movie when you watch it, you feel danger for the heroes? What mcu movie takes the villain and puts it as it's protagonist and gives him a full journey? How are they similar in tone? Story premise and beats are familiar but that does not make it the same thing entirely. Thanos winning, while it will get undone, is quite risky to leave audiences up in the air wondering where they could go next in the sequel. Black Panther, Infinity War, Spider Man: Homecoming had great villains, and they tried with Thor 3 and gotg 2. How is the action just decent? You might as well just be a hater trying to kill hype. Humor in infinity war is toned own so much and is actually well timed and used. Same goes for black panther and homecoming. Also whats wrong with Humor? As long as it is well used then it becomes a plus. Like Black Panther and Infinity War, Homecoming too. Homecoming actually does differ somewhat from that formula, Black Panther does that too. And Infinity War of course. You're such a hater.

Not completely unpopular, I think there were a decent amount of people who liked her. I thought she was a cool villain, the special effects on her made her look super cool, and she was fun and cheesy just like a comic book villain
