1 hafta önce yardım gönüllüsü olarak Hatay ilinde bulundum. Üzülerek söylüyorum ki Antakya merkezde hasar almamış bir adet bina dahi yok, bu gördüğünüz insanların önemli bir kısmı artık yok, o yapıların ise artık hiçbiri yok. Yaşanılan acıyı tarif edecek kelime yok.

Visited Antakya 25 years ago. Came here to watch this video because I have been reading this week of its total devastation and wanted to remember its beauty.

We loved Hatay with its history, great food, but most of all, its wonderful people, and now I cry for those people. 😢

This video is dedicated to the beautiful people of Hatay. We, the Cagin family, have been traveling for years. Even in the 90s, we were shooting the places we traveled with our old video camera. After many years, my mother and I bought a gimbal as a birthday present for my father. Now we had a gimbal, but we didn't know how to shoot videos professionally. Walking videos in the city we came across on KZfaq one day inspired us. Of course, one of my main goals in shooting these videos for KZfaq was to earn an extra financial income for me, who was studying at university at the time. I shot our first video in this concept in Kahramanmaraş. After this first video, I started to shoot the videos I shot with a different purpose. Earning income on KZfaq sounded good, we were always hearing stories of people making money on KZfaq. But what we did should serve more. I wanted to start a valuable project that will serve humanity. Videos as memories of the past. Since then, I have focused especially on walking and driving videos. I have tried to never put music in these videos and to record the surrounding sounds as they are, whenever possible. These videos would become the memory of the past. maybe 50 years, 100 years from us, someone would watch these videos and have the opportunity to live these times as they are, without any editing or editing. They would see today's daily life, their voices, their people. For this reason, we try to reflect all the cities we visited, as they are, without any additions. On February 6, we woke up to a very tragic day. A big earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş destroyed 10 provinces very badly. The worst affected of these was the province of Hatay. According to the news, it is said that 80% of the buildings in Antakya have been demolished. Too many people lost their lives, were injured both psychologically and physically, lost their homes and loved ones. This video now serves a higher purpose than before. It reflects the beautiful state of the city of Antakya before this tragedy. We hope everyone we recorded in this video is well. If any of the people in the video lost their lives, we hope this video will be a good memory for their relatives and help alleviate their pain. As of today, we have decided to focus our channel entirely on producing such content. We will record and archive it in its plain form without any editing in all the cities we visited. We will create a memory for our future.

I always knew this was a unique place. So sad it’s gone. It was on my travel schedule in 2011, but I ran out of time when I reached Adana and my flight was due. Though I did go to Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Kilis, Dyarbakir, ... places also affected by this terrible disaster. So thanks for this video.

I’m so happy they still have Syrian traditions there however we lost our homeland due earthquake. It’s not very liveable and we lost 2 million due deaths

There is no place like this at the moment.... And probably 2 of every 5 people you see in the video died in the earthquake.. im frm turkey...
