@@brianachim2670 I don't know how they do it then. Tokyo Ghoul:Re dropped roughly 2 years after I watched season 1 and 2 and I immediately got it. My memory sucks and i'm not a smart dude, if I get it anybody can.

@@GentlyUsedFrog those who read the manga would recognise him straight away, anime only probably wouldnt make the connection until haise envisioned yamori and then the finger cracking as he walked off. They leave the hints but not telling the viewer directly.
