I used to live in Corona and ate in the Parkside many times, he was an absolute gentleman, if there were no empty tables he would move a few to one side to make room for another one for my girlfriend and I, the park across the street was called the Joseph and Lisa memorial park then in the 90s, never had a bad meal in the Parkside, always amazing food and service.

There are two sides to every coin. Some say he facilitated the Italians leaving corona by various means. Others he was a stand up guy , generous and built a restaurant many longed to go. I prefer “Tony” in this clip remembering better days and times long gone.

Buon Anima Anthony. I wish I could have eaten at your restaurant while you were still with us, but one day I will sit at one of your tables and have a good thought for you.

Rip to Tony but I grew up in corona You forced a lot Italians out during the housing boom . Sad to say I think he regretted not keeping the community intact . And just throwing bags of money to Italians so he can build 3 family homes in the 80s Sad but true the anchor of the neighborhood destroyed it for profit
