Күн бұрынOn November 14, 1983, Genie Francis and Tony Geary were interviewed by Joan Lunden concerning Genie's return to General Hospital. Genie remarked that GH felt like home to her. Tony said he hadn't laughed so much in quite a while. Joan asked them why they thought Luke and Laura were so popular.
She also tried to get a hint from them about how Genie's time on the show might "end". The responses from Genie and Tony concerning their hopes are eerily similar to what we hope today!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! I love Tony's line about holding out for Brazil! Those two are just great together--as Luke and Laura--or just as themselves!!

WOW I didn't know there was a possiblity that Tony could have stayed on the show. I always thought Genie was brought back so Luke could have an exit. Sad to see him go but it was so nice they left together as Luke and Laura. Thanks for sharing especialy with susszq now posting the 1983 Laura return.

I also like the comment he made about things being boring with out his 'ole lady.' These two are fabulous to watch in or out of character you are so right about that fact!

This is so interesting bc I know there's something up. I've watched these 2 together on alot of shows. One in particular they're holding hands, giggling and Won't admit anything they just laugh. So I'm looking here and seeing it's oh so different ,then years after this appearance they were together as " "Close " .. " friends" ..then not long ago she's giving Tony his farewell message saying you'll always be my soul mate.😁 She loves her husband, but she loves Tony too.. Tony has always, always made it very obvious he's inlove with Jeanie. Probably always will be.

I have NEVER thought AG was gay! I know that he's with a man now, but I think he's probably a true bisexual more than anything. I do think it's possible that he and Genie were "in love" at one time.

I looked around for the channel of Lukenlaurafan 77 and I couldn't find it. I'm guessing it was yanked off by YT. Sounds like that person had some good LnL stuff!

They still have an opportunity to tie it up but TG won't return. I get it and I am so glad he's happy but I sure wish these two would write a few episodes and wrap it up.

Their body language is saying something different from what their words are saying. Tony has all but twisted away from her entirely and she is leaning as far as she can away from him without topping over.

Yes, I see the same thing. That's why I clicked to watch this video because of the picture, Tony was facing away from Genie and she's at the other end of the couch. Their body language tells it's own story. I hear arrogance in him, "they offered me Paraguay, I am holding out for Brazil" and a few other things he said. My feeling about the whole relationship over the years, if it were not for Genie Tony would not have had the career he did, we learned who Luke was and loved him thru Laura's eyes. I feel over the years there was some resentment, he got stereo typed and he had to hide his sexuality. After all he was playing a straight man totally head over heels in love with a Beautiful woman and he couldn't let his audience know he preferred men. He even mentioned their kind of love was not what he wanted in his own personal life. It is nice to be able to watch these old interviews, we know what the future is so I am Really listening and knowing what they are talking about, I am psychologically analyzing them.

@@christineadams1284 GF was doing Geary a huge favor by agreeing to attend his pompous sendoff from GH. By that time she had stared in her own TV series "Bare Essence" and had several offers. But, in some interview admitted needed to slow down, took acting classes, lived with her boyfriend for two years in NY and enjoyed life.

Genie should have won just as many Emmys as Tony did. He didn't even look happy for her when she finally won.

Do not like her with Kevin and Luke And Tracy but I believe they couldn't keep them together because Luke is so much older and he look older

A 15 yr age gap is huge when you're talking the 17 yr old Genie Francis, but it's nothing when you're looking at a 60 yr old Genie Francis. Women dye their hair and it helps with looking younger. Most men in their 60s and 70s do not.
