Jonathan has been in the nutrition industry, studying carefully for nearly 15 years, and has competed in bodybuilding competitions within the UK, including BNBF and UKBFF with top placings. He has also undertaken several courses surrounding human health, including Medical Science and a Nutrition and Herbal Science certification. His biggest accolade is a BSc in Human Nutrition.
Over that span of time, he has seen fad diets come and go. With the amount of misinformation online, he decided to uncover the truth. He has been using the most up to date scientific literature, as well as experience from working with hundreds of individuals with unique health situations. He recognized a gap in the market for affordable, yet high quality diet coaching. From there, the brand of the Composition Consultant was formed. Find him below!

Hey Anthony I just wanted to thank you for saving my life, I’m 20 years old and have already had 5 years of drug addiction, ADHD, BPD, Type 1 Bi-polar experiences and whole cornucopia of mental issues for a long time. Severe anxiety to which I’d talk to myself all day long thinking when the next “bomb” would drop on me… I was dying a very painful and slow death, the drinking and medications were slowly evaporating my life into nothing then I found this channel along with some others and started this diet and man, it feels like I’ve got the life I felt like I was never going to get… always felt different than everyone else and couldn’t understand why and holy Jesus it’s like my brains actually working again. My addictions and constant searching for my next fix faded out and I feel completely normal even after a month of this diet! To me seeing the results it isn’t even a chore to keep up with the diet because I feel so damn good! Thank you Doc, you healed me❤️

A lot of people here saying their DOMS is a lot less on Carnivore. That’s a really good point and I hadn’t actually noticed until I read these comments. I am not sore for more than 2 days. I am 44, starting training at 16, and I remember being sore for 4-5 days in my early twenties. Now.. i am literally doing 16-20 sets per muscle group, vs 8-12 sets 20 years ago. Hi everyone!! Hi doc Chaffee!! I started my carnivore journey because of my dad cancer .so in my desperation I was searching for a solution and I find you people talk about carnivore diet. I have training as a bodybuilder for 25 years and I always used carbs for fuel a lot of protein and low fat . 5 years ago I learn how fasting it’s good for general health so I started practicing and I lost 20 pounds I was in a very good shape, but carbs was my fuel at same point I tried keto but never worked for me . Back to my dad , when I discovered the carnivore diet I told my dad that was a way to fighting cancer but he never started so I started to prove him that it’s possible !!!with time I start to see the positive feedback from my body , I start to change things round and play with calorie and fat intake in the beginning was Ard but now I know the right ratio and calories for me . I training hit and it is very demanding for the body plus I have a very busy life two jobs and family two girls before the carnivore I was very exhausted I never given up because it’s my life but is as very tired. Back to carnivore : with this diet in few months I find that my energy are truly amazing and my performance it’s very good no inflammation no need to much sleep very strong unbelievable recovery capacity basically I’m fell and look better then ever . So I guess go carnivore people 🥩🥩🥩

@@garychristopher5480 yes off course!!! You will get use to and then you will find the benefits!!! You have to find your calories intake!!! The right ratio protein and fat . After the flat feeling and the flat look your body will start to build muscle and look again good but with less volume!!! The moist important thing is listen to your body wait for the transition and you will look 10 time better . No puffy look a real muscle look .

I’m 63, and an old school natural bodybuilder from the late 1970s early 1980s, and I’ve been consistently weight training since (not pink dainty weights) even through pregnancy and postpartum, etc. My girls are in their late 30s. I’ve been clean keto followed by carnivore for 14+ years. I’m at a good weight for me; I’m naturally curvy. I’ve had so many autoimmune challenges since I was a little girl. I’ve always had muscles, but my skin and tone have been horrible from autoimmune and the horrible bodybuilding/low calorie/low fat diet I followed for years. It’s so discouraging. I look great in clothes! 😂 I just got really serious about lifting heavy again like the old days. I am super committed and determined to bring out the muscle development naturally and see if heavy lifts can do something about my skin. I’m only a few days in. I’m following a female bodybuilder’s training plans (but ignoring her nutrition) and my 1980s Rachel McLish book and workout (also ignoring nutrition advice). I’d love to see more examples of post-menopausal 60+ women on a carnivore plan who are making changes with heavy lifting. Are you out there?

Gwen..... 59 year old female here. 2 years post menopausal. Been weightlifting since I was 16 with a few years off here and there. Currently lifting as heavy as I can 5 days a week. Started carnivore 7 days ago or so. Was previously heavy on veg, with light protein lower fat. Pain in my joints was ridiculous. To say I had to push myself to the gym everyday is an understatement. 5 days in and pain is gone. I feel amazing. I gorge on steak butter eggs and my stomach is always flat as a board after eating. I am the oldest one normally in my gym. The rest of the patrons are 20 and under. Why can't older women come to the realization that resistance training is the best thing they can do for themselves besides carnivore eating??

@@lq4657 well done and great that you’re doing this for yourself. So many women fear getting bulky and add to that all the stupid programming with which we’ve been inundated when it comes to nutrition, and those are just a few of the reasons. Honestly, even if I don’t see much change is my skin, I’ll continue heavy lifting indefinitely. I ride a motorcycle and I love it so much. I must be strong to do this. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope we can stay connected. I’d love to know how things are going with you.

But I still take a compounded porcine thyroid med for Hashimoto’s and low dose naltrexone for autoimmune in general along with some hormones. I’m not ready to give up the hormones and may never be, but I’ve learned to ignore the negative chatter about them because I do well on them. I started napping again felt tired all the time so I am going back to carnivore just making sure I’m eating enough. I’d love to be able to put on some muscle cuz I can’t live eating carbs anymore. I’m so much healthier in body and mind on carnivore

Also i have a question about salt (sodium, potassium etc.) Im on keto for 2 months and now im the 2nd weeks into carnivore. I ordered fasting salts to get more raise my salt intake. I drink less than before yet i still get headaches/cramps(1-2 times) that go away with more salt. Using salt to taste is not enough for my body. Do you have some solution for that ? For the last few months I've just been doing half-@assed carnivore (mostly meat but 100 carbs per day) and basic 20 min. workouts. My gut is completely gone and I now have a six-pack. I'd recommend anyone new to this to just try eating more meat and keeping carbs at 100 and see the results. It does not take willpower. You may find as I did that your appetite for carbs will naturally decease with the more meat you consume and that you will feel better all around.

Thank you for touching on the bodybuilder deaths. It's absolutely tragic. I feel like the fact that the people who should represent peak fitness and health are actually dying faster is making a lot of lay people avoid the gym and weight lifting - people in my family told me that working out will give me a heart attack, and I'm far from a bodybuilder, more of a casual gym rat.

The reason bodybulders die is not because of steroids, or because they lift weights and put too much strain on their hearts. When they prep for a competition, they mess around with their potasium/sodium ratios, so all the water is inside the muscle and not under their skin. That puts a strain on the heart, not so bad if you do that once a year, but some people enter multiple competitions each year.

Anthony, thanks for the podcasts, I can thank you for starting carnivore, but I need neuro help. I’ve been on the diet for 8 months. It has helped me loose a lot of weight and feel better in general. I’ve recently started having body-wide muscle twitches. These are mostly in my legs but my entire body including lips are now in a constant state of twitching every day. My larger muscles are also cramping and aching. This has been going on for a month now. I do go to the gym regularly and have pushed these muscles to a degree (but not lips!) It scared me to the point of stopping carnivore and pumping down carbs and electrolytes. So far it has not helped. I seem to have normal muscle strength everywhere but google will tell you these symptoms can mean fatal diseases. I’ve also been google-educating myself on things like BFS and even parasites from meat?? I don’t know how to proceed. I need to find some answers, and I wish I knew how common this is when doing keto or carnivore and how to sort it out. I want to keep doing carnivore but this stuff is scaring me sick! Thanks.

More than just being an example of the impressive physique you can build on carnivore, Jonathan also offers credible cautionary testimony about the perils of professional bodybuilding. Often, in magazines and in social media, bodybuilding is glamorized and the participants are falsely portrayed as healthy, when they are anything but healthy. This distortion of reality can be harmful to a lot of impressionable youth who idolize bodybuilders. I'm 32 M, I've been carnivore for about 2 months. People keep saying I look great, saying I look jacked, asking what my secret is, asking me if I'm on steroids because I've bulked up so much so quick (no way I'd ever take steroids). I've been working out almost every day for only 2 months and I've gained 17kgs of lean muscle so far. My goal was 20kgs over a year and I've almost reached it in 2 months, it's absolutely crazy how good this diet is for body building, rock climbing, strength training. Almost no fatigue for hours, recovery is overnight, if there is any soreness it's gone early within the next day.

The scale doesn't lie my friend. I'm still lean as and I've gone from 60kgs to 77kgs in 8 weeks. Maybe you can't, but I definitely did. That's using both the scale at home and the gym to cross reference. I've also got the photos to prove it, I've been keeping a journal. maybe some of it is increased bone density, water weight etc, but looks like a lot of it is lean muscle. I've also gone from lifting about 10-15 kgs on each arm on free weight and machine exercises to 25-35kgs on each arm, is that also impossible? It seems ridiculous to me, but I'm enjoying the gains very much :) @@KonnaIRL

@@claynivore You have no idea what you are talking about. No one gains 17kg lean muscle in 2 months especially naturally. See you in winning mr olympia next year :D

Is there already a video about Carnivore and Crossfit? I'm mostly Keto and OMAD on some days where I'd only eat in the evening. Strength wise I don't feel a lot of difference being very low in carbs. But WODs of about 20min seem to be pretty bad in terms of energy. I'm mostly Keto for about 6 years now. My body should be pretty fat adapted by now. Which seems to hold true for everything except very high intensity exercises.

80% of ENERGY has to come from healthy fat, correct? Not percentage of weight , yes?
