Sounds like the "Rocket" Antilag that they used on the WRC cars. That system would allow the car to build over 40psi (3.5 Bar) of boost pressure at only 1800 rpm for better launches

Isn't that very bad for the Engine tho? Does it not put wear on the Valvetrain? I'm curious because I want this done on my Gc8

its a small crutch to get a more responsive power band, and it can severely damage the valvetrain and exhaust side of the car, it can quite literally cut the life of the turbine in half. The only reason that WRC cars use it is cause they have 10 other engines ready to R&R if the car engine breaks down.

The late combustion keeps the turbo spooled up so when throttle is applied again there isn't any turbo lag.

Adding to Patrick's comment. Its completely unnecessary unless youre using it on a close course where you need to be off and on the throttle alot. Otherwise its just to show off big pops and bangs and destroy your turbo and valvetrain

Uh clearly you have zero clue what your talking about. That “fuel” being wasted is what’s CREATING power idiot. The late combustion of the antilag system caused the turbo to stay constantly spooled and gives it the characteristics of a NA motor. As in full boost and full power all the time without having to wait...hence the name anti lag. Do some research man
