Calvin Robinson interviews concerned parent Clare Page for "Indoctination: How Woke Conquered the Classroom", Episode 10 in our #NCFHeresies documentary series (watch the documentary here: • INDOCTRINATION: How Wo... )
During the pandemic, when much teaching was conducted online, Clare was in the unusual position of being able to witness some of the teaching and materials her children were being taught. The materials and the way the teaching was being conducted led her to want to find out more about the curriculum. Consequently, she sought to gather copies of her child's teaching materials.
However, after teaching moved back inside the classroom, she faced much more difficulty. Most problems related to the PSHE (“Personal, Social, Health and Economic”) classes. The schools were reluctant to supply specific information or materials. Titles of lesson plans were given rather than the lessons themselves. The school used copyright as a barrier to allowing her access to material produced by third parties.
Transparency and knowing what our children are being taught is extremely important as an increasing number of contentious subjects are being discussed. A parent should be aware of this content so that, if necessary, they can have a conversation with their children, stating whether they agree or disagree with it. Parents also have a right to challenge it or decide whether they want to alert other parents or wider society about it.
Clare reveals that her daughter was trained with Critical Race Theory and introduced to terminologies and glossaries with very precise definitions which were treated as facts even though they are highly contentious theories. She was taught about sex positivity, intersectionality, the power structures of society and other social justice theories. Her daughter was told she had her own white privilege and was likely to be anxious about it. She was told it was ok to have white privilege but it was not ok to pretend it does not exist.
Children were racialized in other ways, too. Black children, for example, were taught that their lives were in danger and that the state (police and government) treated their lives as expendable.

Many teachers like many workers are cowed by powerful bosses. Indentured labour means they get to tell you what to do such as critical race theory or anti bias training , team building etc etc which starts with the assumption you are biased/racist . If you challenge this the first thing they will say to you is "you see ,you see you are denying that you are biased" Many teachers despise it all but are invested in their careers so stay quiet to pay their mortgages or rent . Any teacher protests about anything are usually passed off as leftists or communists.

Parents should be teaching morals and values- in our interactions with your children good teachers would and should reinforce these. Teachers (as representatives ,largely, of the state) should absolutely NOT be teaching morals and values. Part of what accounts for the overreach of schools in this regard is the complete indifference of parents. Many parents almost expect schools to teach the current moral values. Many parents do not get involved except to defend their child's misbehaviour. So many children I teach have parents who spend every weekend playing video games or drinking. Parents! Do your job- be involved. Teach your children your moral principles. Interfere when schools push their weird agenda. Good teachers agree with you.

Fair comment for many schools, but some really did try to maintain the ideals of liberal education. What catches them out, is fear of doing wrong, or being thought to have done wrong. They may know no more about this claptrap than the rest of us, and even believe it to be such. But they are told at every turn that they must be diverse, inclusive and non-discriminatory. How can they avoid doing wrong when they don't even understand (or maybe just disbelieve!) what is required of them? So they get in the only "experts" available and, despite any misgivings, follow the "guidance". Very well-intentioned, they end up on the same road to the same destination.

@@sbwlearning1372 Several times, the worst one was when I suffered r @ p e and had to get myself tested for diseases, getting told about "safe s @ x" and asked how many partners I have - I had just suffered r @ p e!!! It was awful! I was then told that it's "not normal" not to have it off with lots of different people and that if I don't do so, I must be "not normal" and "suffering from anxiety"! Then, consulted a doctor about a stomach issue. Now, consider this: for about a year now, I've been severely disabled. Severely! Doctor was aware of it. Doctor demanded to know whether I engage in... well, certain perversions!!! And how many people with!!! I refused to answer the question. She got aggressive and shouted "I have to know this"! When I made a complaint, manager said she had "acted professionally" and "had a right to ask this question"! I had to speak to a different doctor to get somewhere. Then, gynecologist when I had very severe gynecological problems. Gynecologist demanded that I get pregnant several times. I was single!!! Gynecologist: "it's not normal not to want children" and "we can help you to get pregnant"! I was in extreme pain, severely hemorrhaging, infertile - and totally single! What sort of a thing is this to say to a single and unmarried lady anyway? And since when is it "not normal" to make a choice in life??? The world would be a better place if only people who really want children, have them! Then, doctors became aware of me not having it off left right and center when I had to discuss certain things. Immediately they assumed the reason I'm not having it off all over the place is only because I've been r @ p e d! How about - I prefer not to be a loose woman and that such activities should be reserved for loving and committed relationships? Then, whenever I attend a hospital appointment, no matter what it's for (and since my hysterectomy it's not for gyne issues), they always do a pregnancy test - without telling me or asking me for consent! Even though I'm single - but they assume I'm having it off all over the place anyway! They have now started asking men by the way if they are pregnant (I'm in the UK)! I once said to a nurse: "how can I be pregnant, I'm not married". Nurse: "well you could be"! I'm too polite really, I should have replied with "not if one has self respect"! I also constantly hear from married women that they get told they, and their husbands, would cheat anyway, that this is "normal", and to "get themselves tested for STD's regularly"! Most women are very upset about this! What sort of perverts are there now in the medical profession...

Both my husband and I completely relate to this parent. During lockdown when our son received online PSHE lessons, we overheard what was being taught and we didn't like what we were hearing, especially around BLM/white privilege. We complained about the materials being taught and the school reported my husband to Kent Prevent Team (schools). The school complained to my husbands place of work. My husband had to explain to management about what had happened at school and thankfully his workplace were in agreement with us. I then spoke with Kent Prevent Team (schools) and they were completely understanding and somewhat confused at the schools actions and clarified the schools report will be removed from their systems. We removed our son from the school and home educated him for a few months, but now he attends another local school. Like this parent, we had a few stressful months. Political aspects - the teachers were anti Trump.

The child in question may well have had no anxiety whatsoever about whether or not they had ‘white privilege’ until the school told them they may feel anxious about ‘white privilege’. This sort of thing is scare-mongering and panic inducing. It’s actually widening the gap between black and white and is making matters worse, not better. It’s very destructive. One thing that schools should be teaching is how to apply critical thinking. Here’s the facts. Here’s both sides of the argument. Now go and form an opinion. Instead, what we see in schools, the media and in society as a whole is the presentation of ideas, opinions and theories as if they were fact and being told that we should agree, and if we don’t then we’re wrong. Often these ideas, opinions and theories aren’t proven as facts, and often also present a one-sided view. Life isn’t as simple as that.

The reason behind the behaviour of teachers is explained by Patrick Deneen in his book WHY LIBERALISM FAILED, in which he demonstrates how centralised state power is intrinsic to legitimating an ever wider range of types of personal freedom and imposing these on society at large. The state, in the name of the assertive claims of late liberalism, asserts the right to step in between children and their parents, in order to dissolve definite values held by parents and replace them with supposed open ended values, such as late liberalism espouses.

But, as you suggest, it is another weapon in the defensive armoury, like Health And Safety: rarely practised honestly, but always a useful excuse for not doing things, as nothing can ever be 100% safe.

It's YOUR children that's why you should know what they're being taught! (also I would obviously pull my kids out immediately if I heard they were taught any woke stuff!)

No matter how you look at it, it's really sinister how they are behaving. They should be transparent in what they are teaching not doing e everything they can to be evasive and dishonest. Really worrying

This sort of indoctrination should not be allowed in our schools. In my experience there is only one group of adults who want to have interaction with other peoples' children and keep it secret from their parents and you certainly do not want them near your kids.

As the poor lady recounts her child's school education, it becomes apparent that this daily reality for our children is of such a magnitude of horror that it must, surely, be all founded in evil. On a personal level, respectfully comment that the guest had the aspect of one who has been truly shocked by abysmal malice, and cannot unsee it.

I asked my cousin's kids what they were taught about Churchill in school. They were said " he was a bad man who did some good things".

From the teachers who are advocating these teachings I guarantee most of them won't have children and will be under 30 years old.

This is wicked What exactly does "white privilege" mean? Plenty of white children come from ordinary backgrounds and some white children from very difficult and low income backgrounds. The same can be said of black children. Exactly what does while privilege mean. Some families both white and black are just about holding it together.

'White Privilege' is a made up idea so they can later justify the White Genocide they have planned for the next few decades.

There referring to hundreds of years ago when whites enslaved other races and referring to the same such as the 40s where whites were Nationally considered the Superior race but none of this exists. Today and 100 percent of children grow up in a world where all races are considered equal so bringing up a historic fact and acting like it’s still relevant is fake news if white privilege still exists it would be illegal to teach this stuff

My wife's best friends husband teaches at a primary school. He's hard left radical socialist as are the women he chats to incessantly on social media at home tapping away at his phone as he dismisses his wife as "boring, stupid and not a professional like he and his colleagues" ignoring her attempts at conversation. He threatened his wife of "consequences", if she ever voted Conservative. He's overbearing and ignorant of any facts, but indoctrinated into radical progressive ideology. If this is a snapshot representative of the teaching profession today, with such a low bar to entry, our children are doomed! Great work this lady standing up to this evil socialist nonsense.

This outsourcing to sidestep the rules and controls is a major cause of the problems in this area. Not just in education but in businesses and organisations such as sports bodies and youth organisations. There is not much we can do to stop private businesses, but schools must be held severely to account if they do it.

Worrying that the 3rd party are gently promoting Paedophilia. Very very worrying. Always talk to your children and take on parenting your child this is not someone else’s job.
