"Antidepressants don't work" is one of the headlines you may have seen in the news recently.
Well, let's address this.
In this video I aim to cut through the myths and give you the facts - so you have what you REALLY need to know. I'm joined by three psychiatrists from The Maudsley Hospital, so they can share their knowledge and shed some light.

Reading your book made me realise that my depression periods were becoming more frequent and the way you describe how the brain is unbalanced unlocked a understanding that I needed help. My doctor has prescribed anti - depressant to help me and so thank you for putting me back on the road to healthy living

Don't just stop taking your antidepressants like I did. I suddenly stopped my Sertraline 100mg a year ago and I got these awful brain zaps. Thankfully once I started them again , I was fine. Thanks Alex for this video. ❤️

So anti-depressants certainly help some people to feel better but do they cure depression? A lot of folks saying that when they come off they feel worse. They are dependent then on the drugs to feel ok.

I have been on 30 + meds and none have helped me :’( nor did ECT. I’ve been stuck like this for 9 years now. I wish something would help me!!

Im taking nexito for my panic attack. Then im stop. Then panic atack come back but this tine nexito didnot work me. Wat is the reason? Wat can i do for good long term working for my new medicine

That's pure crap. I've been on Cymbalta for 15 years and thankfully so.. and everyone else is thankful.. TRUST ME

I'm on 2 different medications one at night and have 2 take 3 times. I find they do work but when u feel depressed nothing works 😩

Mine definitely don't work..only on 30. They don't work it's all about the mind..how you use it in a positive coping tectic and pushing yourself then once you get the hang your be happier!

No talk about the people experiencing permanent side effects, only about the people these drugs benefit, absolutely disgusting and if I were any of you, I’d drop this crap in a heart beat, it’s not worth the side effects and the damages it can do to your entire body. I’m 22 years old and I have new problems from lexapro I never had before trying the drug and believing all science is perfect, clearly if it was perfect I would not need to sign a liability form, stupid me didn’t understand that
