Antique Rusty Padlock Restoration - Better Result than @lostandrestored
In this video I am restoring an Very Rusty lock. The shap of this lock is different from other locks. There is no key to this lock.
The lock restoration project began by removing loose rust from the lock. After this I removed the reverts of the lock to disassemble the lock. After removing the reverts of the lock, when I opened it, there was a lot of rust inside it. I removed most of rust with one tool. and disassemble all the inside parts . After disassembling the lock, I kept all the parts of the lock in kerosene oil for 45 minutes so that the oil rust removed. I applied 12 volt current to remove rust from the lock. which gave me very good results.I sanded the lock plates with a angle grinder (120, grit). After this I start hand sanding, In which I used (220, 320, 400 grit ) sand paper . Sanding of (120 to 100 grit) on some parts of the lock. After this new reverts have been created . After restore all the parts, the lock is re-assembled. The front and back plates of the lock have been painted (Mat black). Black color on the lock , it looks very beautiful.
