Before restoring it, I thought the heating element was broken.To my surprise it worked perfectly.

Manufactured by AEG in 1938? But... but there hasn't been time enough for these geological deposits 😀 Very nice job, and now you have a small stove for the kitchen or for when you are out camping or whatever.

It was manufactured by AEG in 1938. Because it is engraved on the stove. It was a very useful product.💚

Well, that was 85 years ago, plenty of time for those accretions. It all has to do with how and where it was stored.

Strange how the bottom plate isn’t rusty?

Christine it has nickel coating on it.It prevented rusting.(both sides and bottom are coated.If the coating on sides was not damaged there would be no rust.).Top is totally rusted.I could not even totally clean it.I had to paint.Thanks for watching.❤️❤️

Самое главное спираль (нагревательный элемент), на неё даже не глянул . С 1938г. там земля, ржавчина ,грязь и т.д. изоляторы потрескались или вообще развалились. Отличная работа , золотые руки...
