Interesting video indeed. Believed this is common practice for other manufacturer brands like Geminijets, Phoenix, JC Wings and many more. As long as the quality is delivered then it's not problem for me. Herpa is definitely an amazing brand but I hope you can make models with rolling landing gears for 1:400 models..

@DheFilms Jedes Herpa-Modell wird nach sehr strengen Qualitätsrichtlinien kontrolliert. Natürlich ist die Detaillierung eines Flugzeugmodells in dieser Größe trotzdem eine Herausforderung. In unseren Fertigungen arbeiten Menschen - leider kann es deshalb passieren, dass ein Modell einmal durch sämtliche Kontrollen "durchrutscht". In diesem Fall können Sie es selbstverständlich jederzeit bei unserem Kundendienst tauschen.

Por muchos controles de calidad que haga Herpa no es lo mismo fabricar en Europa o Alemania que en China o cualquier país asiático. Muchos modelos de Herpa tienen motas de polvo debajo de la capa de barniz motivado por pintarlos en un ambiente sucio y los controles de calidad no deben ser tan estrictos como dicen, cuando la mayoría de los modelos los tienen de una forma u otra. Además muchos modelos de color blanco, con el tiempo amarillean, especialmente motores o alas, independientemente que los tengas metidos en vitrinas protegidos de la luz, esto es debido a la mediocre calidad de los barnices. Por otro lado ya va siendo hora de ponerles trenes de aterrizaje magnéticos a los modelos 1:200. Un saludo.

Yeah herpa has a lot of work to do but it's much easier to make realistic landing gear and get details onto the larger 400 scale models vs the 500 scale models that Herpa specializes in. Fact.
