My 12 week old pet fire ant colony, named the Phoenix Empire, is so large now, it was finally time for them to move into a proper ant farm (an AC Ant Tower), where they could satisfy their natural urge to dig and create tunnels. I will miss seeing the queen fire ant, but inside I knew we were doing the right thing by giving them a better, more natural ant nest. Hope you enjoy this week's episode! Ant love forever! in greek mythology helios was also the god of the sun which is made of gas and fire which goes perfectly for fire ants and the two names are very similar so I really like your idea, you also backed it up with historic knowledge! :)

"Tower of Hestia" Hestia is the goddes of the hearth, aka the household fireplace and family, so it would be fitting in two ways: the fire motive of the whole colony, and the family part, since the younglings will be born here from now on SRY for bad english

Name the new area “The Pillar of Auburn”. Reference to the “pillar of autumn” from Halo, but also, ‘Auburn’ is a red/brown color, and ‘burn’ plays with the Fire ant theme well. If we don’t get an ‘Auburn Empress’, we should at least get to use it for a temporary home made of red colors!

Do you have to start small and increase the enclosure as they grow? Or could you start with a massive terrarium and watch them as they would be in the wild? If you have to start small, why, and how do you know when to move to a new, bigger enclosure?

At 4:40 you can see what looks like an ant escaping theyre old home while he was detaching the tube. And also you left alot of ants in the other part of the tube. I'm pretty sure he noticed and maybe put em in there but just wanted to point it out.

after 5 or so formicarium of random ant species, then I tried on gentle fire ants, "those are dangerous !!" they said, well I had to experience myself, result... skin bump bump bump bump bump and ticky infernal fire on my both hands, arms, and feets, lesson learned ?, yes I enjoyed the extreme energy of this ants and their hungry

Do carpenter ants sometimes have multiple Queens? If yes then I have a massive one at one of the trees in school grounds and I love watching them do what they do. (Also I fed them a died wasp a little while ago and they made me want a colony like that.Also they are never gonna die untill it snows hard.)

Yes! Sometimes they can have multiple queens but only during the founding stage, after that only the most dominant queen will survive. I suggest you put queens together in the founding stage if you want a fast growing colony. Also, make sure the queens you put together are from the same species.

You should name it, "Towers of flames." I got the idea from mortal kombat 11 since they have towers called towers of time. So i replaced time with flames since city of ashes has a great name. And the whole empire i can predict is made of fire. So thats how i came up with it.

I’d call it “The Hearth”, basically the base of a fireplace, and also can be interpreted as a symbol of home, light, warmth, and a place of gathering for family. A fire can symbolize destruction and death, but just like the Phoenix Empire, can also bring light and warmth to a house like the Ant Room.
