This is the most boring, anti-climactic reveal to the “mystery” of what happened to the spider. Basically Death strike is dead and the spider he’s seeing is another random spider he put in back when it was still young. It’s so pointless that he got confused considering he did the inventory of all the creatures he put in that tank.
