This BIG compilation shows operations at Quay 1333 in the Port of Antwerp! Antwerp EuroTerminal is a big RORO and Container terminal with 2100meters mooring lentgh and 4700 meters rail track length!

geweldig filmke , kwist niet dat er zoveel vertraging op de C kraan zit als je hieft of viert . en dat je zoveel schokken krijgt op die hoogte als je containers pakt .

May I ask what are those quite small vessels in the beginning that you are loading? Are those only for very short trips, because there's not much space for crew(like cabins etc.)

Yeah sure, feel free to ask!! These small ships are "Barges", they can not go on sea. They bring the containers that we discharge from big sea vessels more land inward. They navigate on rivers and smaller channels to reduce the amount of trucks on the road. Feel free to ask more ;)

At 5:12, how do you know how to control that rotation? You seem to turn the rotator on and off a couple of times, but the spreader turns 180 degrees exactly! Is that just pure skill or are there controls in the crane to help you with it?

Thanks for this compliment! It is a manual rotator, it is 100% skill to rotate almost nothing. You have to feel the forces when you stop rotating. Difficult to explain but I'll try! When I start rotating the container doesnt want to stay a while and will rotate a little with the crane rotation. When I'm slowing down my rotation I Will push to stop the container rotation. The mass wants to keep rotating after the crane did. Feel free to comment more questions! GL

Haven on Antwerpen, the most bigger entrance of drugs from south America. 80% from the workers are involved in this trafic.

here is an interesting question... if one of the gantry cranes is going to do no twin moves for say... 1-2 weeks would they give it the nontwin spreader??? it could also keep the twin spreader being used in unnecessary areas...

+NICKTHEGAMER_ no they will never switch. The non twin spreader is a spare spreader. We twin daily here on AET

How does the crane grab two 20' containers at once? I see that yard truck/crane moves them one by one, but your crane can discharge 2x20' in one shot, but in rest of the footage I see you are unloading 1x20' at a time. Would love to know more about this. Great video, thank you for sharing!

Hello! Sorry 8 read this one year later.. It is a twin spreader with 8 twist locks designed to lift 2 full 20" containers at once! Well noticed the yard machinery is not equiped to pickup 2 containers at once. Feel free to ask more Questions

@@Container_World Thank you for the reply! Do you normally see trucks pick up port-side, or 100% of discharge is to a yard truck that gets assigned to a spot? I heard some special arrangement or big customers can pick up straight from the vessel, but I thought it was a union and safety regulation issue that shippers trucks can pick up at discharge point?

here is a safety question... can you only (un)lock a container with that yellow light accessible? I see the light before lock or unlock so it came to my attention ;)

Yes that is the same crane ;) It is a Liebherr mobile harbour crane! (LHM550)

AET vs. IMT... AET wins all catagorys, space, multi use, IMT has the lhm but dont use it as much in other moves like AET... and they have(and are going to have???) more gantry and liebherr lhms, *HAS* The port confirmed of soon 2 new gantry cranes???
