Today I will apply a pgr anuew and talk about the prod and cons of doing so! I did pre record the pros and cons part about 2 weeks ago when I was originally planning on applying it but a cold snap hit and there’s was a light frost in the forecast the rest was recorded Saturday April 20th!

3:27 Very important when using GDD's is to know which base temp to use in the Syngenta calculator. If you could clarify this, it would be great for everyone. I use the 0º C Base Temp here in Minnesota. The number of GDD's are massively different using different base temps. For example the last 7 days here in Minnesota, The GDD's were 141 using the 0ºC but there were 252 GDD's using the 32º F base temp. The same 7 days but the values are different. So you could possibly over regulate or get the rebound depending on which one is used.

All you can do is pick one and roll with it. There’s no certain one to use I use 0c also just what ever you use that’s what you need to keep using.

@@Primetime_Fescue I just wanted to make others aware. If you were to use 300 GDD's/application, using 0ºC base temp it says to re-apply 14 actual days after my last application, but using 32ºF base temp it says to re-apply 7 actual days after my last application, based on the calculator over the last few days here, quite a difference. I typically use 350-400 GDD's here with good results. BTW, I am envious of your sprayer. I have 2.25 acres and use a boom sprayer (no foam) and can definitely see where I miss.😂

I applied anuew about 5 weeks ago to my fescue. Has really slowed it down and improved the look. Ive also noticed that the turf seems to stand up to foot traffic better also.

AIC teejet is a good one! I can’t recommend the color but I would start with red , brown or gray that should get you probably a gallon per 1000sqft calibration depending on your walking speed

How does Anuew compare to Tnex? Any reason to use one over the other? I've been using Tnex for a few years now. Tnex seems to be half the price.
@Primetime_Fescue

Both are great anuew last a few days longer. Other than that not much difference besides length of time it last and it’s only a few days. If tnex has been working roll with it!

Hey Brad, quick question. I did a foliar app of azoxystrobin last week at the curative rate for melting out and leaf spot disease. It seems to have been improving alot and I know it takes time to get better but for my next app at the 14 day mark should I stick with the curative rate or cut it back to the preventative rate?

@dslsct1683 you can apply it in the spring no issue but you better make sure it’s off regulation before it gets hot.
@dslsct1683
@dslsct1683 4 ай бұрын
@@Primetime_Fescue OK I see. I just thought that the plant still grow into the roots with the regulation in place. One last question. If timed just right for it to go off regulation before the summer heat hits, then would the grass stay green with the roots being deeper?
@Primetime_Fescue
@Primetime_Fescue 4 ай бұрын
@dslsct1683 it could possibly help because it will transfer the energy from the top growth to the roots. The issue with applying it in the summer is drought stress because you don’t have irrigation and disease! Grass has to grow to heal and if it’s regulated it not gonna grow. I feel you will be fine applying it now but you will have to watch the weather closely on the extended forecast
