The Ghost is the only one that makes sense .It has an inherent 40% signal reduction in the armor. So it has built in stealth w/o the stealth components which don't work anyway. That and its current insane acceleration makes it a decent PVP bounty hunting ship.

Someone brought this up before. Good point! I say in the video it's good for low-level bounties!

They really should have built the Tracker on the Super chassis instead of the base one. It just seems a much better setup with the backseater working the sensors and C&C duties and letting the plot handle flying and fighting instead of heaping it all on a solo pilot.

That's a pretty neat idea, maybe a future exploration variant of the superhornet.

I happen to have both a 325a and a Hornet Ghost. I ditched the special ghost cap for the top and bottom turrets and run 6 guns (haven't managed to succeed on swapping with the F7A unfortunately). I fly both of them frequently. The Ghost by far handles better than the 325, especially in atmosphere, and seems to be more durable as well. Additionally, the lower emissions from the Ghost make it great for stalking hot zones or inserting into places like Ghost Hollow and doing the related merc/bounty missions while remaining completely undetected by the NPC Cuttys. Both ships have their pros and cons for sure, it's nice to have the cargo space in the 325 and an interior that can fit any stuff I may want to drag along - But it's also REALLY nice to be unseen and/or hard to find when you're a trash-tier pilot like me. At the moment, since the Hornets benefit from the insane forward acceleration bug, I gotta rate them higher than the 300 series at least. Getting in and getting out matter for MY playstyle, and carrying stuff isn't quite as useful all of the time.

if you compare ships by their weapons, flight, usability, DPS, and simmilar then price is not to be a question. Do you need ship for kill enemy or transfer small cargo and have some protection...that is a pilot decision but in that case price is irelevant

the living amenities in The 325a are better for amenities, speed, and better maneuverability but the hornet has much better Hull HP and it has better weapons. They are definitely comparable. I've killed both inside of the other. The pilot dictates which wins but like i said in the video two equally skilled pilots...the Hornet wins. A skilled pilot in 325a though is very dangerous to a hornet for way less money.

The Hornet is a dedicated fighter hence no amenities. How can you claim that amenities make the 325 A better because most dedicated fighters are not intended to have amenities. The Hornet Ghost I just acquired can add a nose turret for dual size 1 weapons and a top turret for an additional dual size 2 guns. In addition to the stock dual size 3 weapons. I have 6 weapons to fire at your 325 A. Does the 325 A still outclass the Hornet now? edit: I missed a few of your comments above, but still disagree that a 325 A is dangerous to a Hornet unless ill equipped or poorly piloted. As it should be, the 325 A is not a dedicated fighter. If the 325 A outclasses dedicated fighters CIG had better get working on that...

I guess we're making two different points. My point is about cost and yours is about pure combat. I said in the video if all you want is combat get the Hornet. I just think folks should buy it in game. If I were spending real money I'd get the 325a and earn the Hornet in game and spend the other $75 on another ship. That being said when Armor comes online the 325a won't even be able to sniff the Hornet.

The variants will have a component in the center circle to help their roles, eg stealth enhancer and sensor ect. there will be a cargo attachment as well. Replaces the centre turrent

seriously? i am not looking for a multipurpose ship when looking at a hornet, but at a dog fighting ship. any hornet would destroy a cutty as it has just way more maneuverability and therefore doesnt get in front of the cuttys guns (solo piloted) also i believe some can be bought ingame so i dont understand your rating at all... i am also not looking at the stock loadout but how they will compete with each other when fully upgraded... maybe this was just the wrong video to watch for me

You are wrong about the Ghost being stealthy thanks to its components (they help but don't make the ship truly a stealth craft). All stealth ships get a passive reduction (at the moment in patch 3.22, they all get %40 overall reduction to EM, IR and cross section) and the components only assist in lowering the signature amount slightly more (shit, what weapons you place on will do more to your signature reduction). Ergo whacking the same parts (stealth components) on another Hornet (other than the ghost) will not get the same result, only a VERY small reductions will occur and not one that is worth it. That's why I would still give the ghost a 5 as it can't be replicated in its specialty on the other variants.

I also mentioned the ghost's unique armor adding to its stealth so we said the same thing mate! But I definitely didn't know the percentage of reduction was 40% so thanks!

325a is a garbage fighter. Cant turn, cant take a hit, and it gets hit easily due to the extra size. Its a glass cannon. If you want a fighter, this aint it, get a 300 series for the 315p for a focus on utility, storage and interior. If i want to save money for a fighter ill just get an arrow. Hornet is much more durable, has much more versatility as a fighter and can upgrade to have much better firepower than the 325a. If it was down to either cutty black or hornet i would 100% agree people should go for cutty first.

I disagree. I think there are no Garbage fighters only garbage pilots. I took my time learning the strengths and weaknesses of the 325a and was able to take down a hornet. That being said that comparison was about price and amenities. The 325a is faster and more maneuverable but it doesn't have the armor so you have to be good at not getting hit. Most people don't fly defensively they fly offensively and thats why the 325a loses when they fly it. That being said I highlighted that if all you want is a fighter you should get the hornet. I also stated that with two equal pilots the hornet would win.
