Any chance the Rangers get upset by final Wild Card team in the East?

The answer to that question is it’s up to the Rangers If they play 100% as 100% of the time then it’s a yes. The Rangers can only beat themselves in the first round After that very good teams are playing so even if you play 100 it’s still 50/50. A good team will lose after that

@@scottrobertson307lol this is a horrible take. The Rangers eliminated the Caps the last 3 times they faced each other with 2 of those games being a 3-2 and 3-1 series comeback.

Weird comparison between Presidents trophy winners. Bruins had to play Florida in the first round last year, that was a powerhouse team. Rangers are playing the Caps, anything but a powerhouse. Something like a -35 goal differential during the season…Nah, comparing situations to last year is silly.

I agree that making comparisons between last season and this one is not relevant. But there's another Factor the ranger fans need to watch- Spencer carbery is the polite version of John Tortorella. You should know to never underestimate your opponent. Caps also have the advantage of a right catching goalie - that screws up left shooters and a lot of teams. There's no salary cap during playoffs - Spencer carberry was the Hershey Bears coach prior to assistant coach in Toronto He knows his prospects and his roster players very well. Last summer, after watching the Hershey Bears suddenly go from losing to winning, right about the time Spencer carberry came back into the capitals organization... 🤔 I called him as the potential Jack Adams award winner this year. No clue why leafs let him go! He's responsible for their franchise record-setting power play. Many think he contributed greatly to Nylander's career high season This guy's got hockey vision. And he's far quieter than Tortorella - so you don't hear him coming I think they've been the most winning team in the Eastern conference since January.

Your right catching goalie is the secret sauce. Lindgren confuses shooters. Left shooters & teams have a hard time adjusting, they'll figure him out eventually. He may be the only right catching goalies starting in playoffs It makes a difference

We gave up after game 3 last year so I see the Caps getting us out in 6 Double flying elbow from Wilson to Zib and Artemi and then a neck slashing high kick from Ovi to Fox and 7 goals a game by TJ

Of course there's a chance. In the NHL, there's always a chance - a significant one - of an upset in the playoffs. The Rangers have weaknesses.

It's not as easy as it looks -but I finally figured out something that the Rangers already know and are scrambling to prepare. Teams have to change up their game against a right catching goalie. That's different for left shooters So they're able to use that right catching goalie affect during the regular season - I want to see how teams respond doing a seven-game series vs Caps being able to adjust or not. People haven't been watching the capitals carefully, they've slid under the radar- right away you can tell there's something very different about their team... Right trapper goalie Fans haven't caught on to it yet - yet they stare at it every time they see a Caps game and Thompson is playing. One of these goalies is not like the others! It's a matter of whether Rangers can adjust

Yeah I get your point - but things are a bit different 🙄 finally gentleman Patrice Bergeron is retired. Bergeron was injured the first four games of the Panthers series, where assistant Captain Brad Marchand filled in and won three out of four gritty games Gentlemen Patrice Bergeron returned, Bruins lost three games in a row Moral of the story - It takes the son of a bytch to get through playoffs, not the son of a social worker. He's retired. It's time to play hockey! 🐀🧀

I think putting him into the lineup would be a major error. In addition to jeopardizing his career, it could hurt the team's playoff run if he gets injured again.

I think if the Rangers come out playing sloppy in the 1st period (Which they have a habit of doing) and let the Caps get an early lead then Washington 's Defense will smother them. These teams have very different playing styles. It'll be really fun to watch!

@@tarunramanathan9340 remember that the 2019 lightning and 2023 bruins had the presidents trophy clinched after there 73rd and 75th game respectively where as the rangers had to wait until the final buzzer of there 82nd game to win it which to me is a sign of a presidents trophy winner that’s likely to go far
