Well Anycubic has now released a Firmware update. So is everything sorted? Let's take a look.

gotta say, it is nice when a company actively listens, and then ADDRESSES complaints and issues like this, instead of just giving a generic "we will fix it in the future, we promise", and then nothing happens for the next 2 years

Me too! This is my first resin printer but even I knew that was strange and wrong behaviour. Sadly I've got to wait until April to get the printer (Canada) so I suppose the delay has just given time for bug fixes lol

Good day VOG, do you mind sharing the link for the update you were talking about in this video? On their webpage there is no firmware update for this one, there are just 2 for the regular M5s, not for the PRO though...😵💫😵💫😵💫

Have you noticed that the AA doesn't work at the higher speed settings? So at fast print speed (20x) at 0.01 layer height, I can see the layer lines with without magnification. Which is annoying if you paint mini's. Since the are very visible than.

Ebay is running a spring sale which you can get this model with a wash+cure 3 plus for $460 do you think it is worth it now with the changes or do you think waiting to see what the saturn 4 will be is a better choice?

It's hard to imagine that Elegoo will give us anything "better" than this... maybe a few extra mm height or something. But we can never really be sure until we see them. Right now this is an excellent printer and has become my new favourite 😁

@@vogman from the the leaked rumors/pictures. The Saturn 4 supposed to have a lift lid like the gk2 and quick release build plate like the gk2. But it supposedly doesn't have a heater.

Any luck printing BlueCast X10 on that M5s Pro I’m using lychee slicer 6.0 and I can’t get it to print onto the build plate 😩

I haven't used Bluecast X10 on the M5S Pro, sorry. A tip I discovered with castable resins that won't stick may help, and that's to increase the size of the raft. A bigger raft tends to grip better. Hope this helps.

Generally when I'm reviewing a new printer, the only slicer that works is the "official" slicer of the printer brand, in this case Anycubic. My personal favourite is Lychee, so I add my supports there, then use the official slicer for the video. Then after a couple of weeks, Lychee and the others have all caught up, so all slicers are available.

Talk about Stupid, I just purchased a new Photon M5s Pro, but it only accepts ".m5sp" files, which is the file type for all the included demo projects on the USB Flash Drive. Neither the also included Anycubic Photon software, nor the premium versions of software, have the ability to create a ".m5sp" file. Therefore, I am unable to print any thing but the included demo files. This would make a great video if you know a solution for this problem? Also, I would like to know if the other resin printer brands have similar file recognition issues. I'm just about frustrated enough to pack this Photon M5s Pro Boat Anchor up and send it back.

I think you're mistaken here buddy. the m5sp files work via the Anycubic Slicer. Other slicers probably won't support them, that's true. But all you need is an STL. Try this one... it's a free ring design on Thingiverse www.thingiverse.com/thing:4643535 Open the STL in the Anycubic slicer, slice it and you'll have a m5sp file you can print. Any you don't have to stick with the Anycubic slicer. There Lychee or ChituBox for example.

@@vogman Yes, you can pre order from Anycubic, If you go to Amazon USA there selling their. Amazon Canada had it and took it down, real fast. I had it in my cart, but I was procrastinating if I should buy it or not. Then it was removed. I was looking into this printer because of your video. It seemed pretty good, will just play the waiting game. Keep up the great reviews mate.

@@vogman I have checked but no update Mr V. It's not as severe as your problem was but when I've pressed pause on any other resin printer, the plate moves up slowly just to expose what has been printed. When I press pause on the 6ks the platform shoots about three quarters of the way up. My solution is not to pause prints 👍. Apart from that I'm really really pleased with the machine and it was a total bargain and at least anycubic are shipping with a screen protector already installed. I'm so amazed at the quality of prints. I have my AA set to 2. Grey scale set to 2 and image blur set to 2. Just a very lucky guess but seems to be spot on ✌️

It's such a shame that it seems the people who make the printers don't use them. If they did they would pick up on these silly issues. I think it's time I actually put in an order for one of these. I've got some (older) Anycubic printers that work well and need something a bit bigger. Cheers!

i have buy the m5s when it comes out. And since it is on my table, in his box. So disapointed on all video i have seen, all HONEST review. The problem is tha anycubic had very crappy support and devellopers. I have buy m5s and kobra 2 : what a mistake. I have exchange so many mail with support when i received kobra 2 and very crappy response. So i have stopped 3d printing.
