I've tried many tempered glass that I've failed and remove because I can't stand having dust between the protection and the screen or seeing it not centered. I got new one today and tried your trick ... Got it one try, no dust, perfectly centerd it's just perfect so yeah thank you for the video !

It also helps if you apply a third piece of tape on the opposite side of the screen protector (bottom) so that you can hold the screen protector while removing the protective adhesive and then you can close it down like a book cover.

To prevent scratching and or dust prior to application: control. Control the urge to unbox until you have a screen protector ready. Often times, people will get the system and THEN some type of protector days after. Planning ahead is important. Trapped dust under a screen is distracting.

I must say that this is a really good trick ive never heard of. I thought he was going to use the tape to remove dirt off the screen, but i was wrong! Definitely had hard time putting screen protectors but most have been perfect. I used to watch a bit of this channel in the past as well 😉

I have a hard glass protector on mine and it goes edge to edge looks very nice, was also a breeze to apply as it came with a wet wipe, micro-fiber cloth, large piece of tape to cover the whole screen to remove any dust before applying the protector, and the protector was in a tray that you use to align and apply the protector. The protector tray is similar to the ones used for some cell phones. My regular Switches screen protector used the same method to apply it. Just cheap gorilla glass 2 protectors I got at Walmart (should be able to find at other retailers), I don't like the thin plastic protectors. No issues with the touch screen works like normal, and no color changes in the game images like some protectors can cause.

I lke this tape method. It worked well for me. I also did this in the bathroom to avoid getting dust in between the screen and screen protector.

Thank goodness I searched before applying I got stickers for the tape bit lol and wet/dry wipe too! Its on perfectly 😭🙏🙏✨✨✨

I don't really get the point of cleaning the screen protector on the inside. After all, you will peel this side off anyway to expose the adhesive. And after pulling it off it won't make contact with the screen.

I did it! The first two times failed. First it had dust in the outside, Second was bad placement and third it was perfect with no dust. Now I can play Link's Awakening without worrying the screen scratching or full of fingerprints. I have 3 screen protectors left. I'll give them to my nephew, she said she wants a Switch Lite in the future. Always buy more at cheap prices.

I wish Nintendo would just use a solid quality Gorilla Glass so the Switch wouldn't need a screen protector. As far as installations go, I've heard of people installing the screen protector in the bathroom after running a hot shower to generate enough steam that gets most of the dust/fuzz out of the air, then applying the screen protector in the bathroom.

I find Switch screen protectors generally easy to apply, it is with phones when I struggle. Do you think that trick also works with those? Also, what do you think of the Switch Lite? For the portability factor alone, I like the compact (almost GBA Like) size netter than the OG model.
