That was a fabulous introduction/overview of a little-known treasure. One could spend untold years explroing. I camped in many parts of A-B over several years when I was in my twenties. I'm in Sonoma County now. You have brought back fond memories.

I’ve driven through there from Palm Desert and it is a lovely place. Small and charming. The circle civic park is nice to take a break and take in the city. It’s so wonderful and mysterious.

You did not include Cholos Knob. The 4x4 trail Diablo's Back Door takes you there. Just past it is Dirty Sanchez Peak with an amazing view you can see beautiful Pink Sock Pony oasis a short hike away. Hiking in the crevice to yellow canyon has a nice mist to light rain that the warm spring leaks sometimes. It is refreshing not hot before you feel it. My friend got a little mud on him that occasionally falls but it is only like a handful and soft not dangerous. I laughed and called it Anzos Burrito.

Steve Hackett - former guitarist for Genesis. He puts out albums regularly. That music was from Beyond the Shrouded Horizon.

Thank you! There is more videos and content to come. Anza-Borrego is part of the "San Andreas system", with two major faults running through it, which are the Coyote / San Jacinto and Elsinore faults. The San Andreas itself runs down the middle of the Salton Sea, about 20-30 miles east of Anza-Borrego.

yes, Ju Vega the San Andreas fault runs up through Salton Sea through the Mecca Hills north of the Salton Sea and I-10. Another good place to see the Fault and its affect on the land is the Indio hills north of the city of Indio, Ca. The fault breaks the rock layers and forces the ground water up to the surface. This ground water coming to the surface is the reason there are a number of palm oases along the south side of the indio hills. These palm oases used to be visible from Interstate 10 as a series of dark spots against the light colored hills but that was before the car dealers and other buildings were built on the North side of I-10. And the largest of these, Thousands Palms oasis, has 300-400 hundred palms and a large spring fed water pool. There are several palm oases like Willis Palms, Pushawalla Palms and Biskra Palms near Thousand Palms. The San Andreas fault continues up through the Cajon pass up to and through the Devils Punchbowl county Park, an interesting example of San Andreas fault geology. The Vasquez rocks near CA Hwy14 are another interesting example of the action and power of the fault. The fault continues to northern California passing through the Carrizo plain. there are several offset streams visible from the air in the Carrizo plain.

Why are people always stuck in the 3rd grade? I've had several people say that. Why not 2nd or 4th graders? Did you graduate to the 4th grade where I need to tailor the video to speaking to 4th graders now? I don't understand your logic.
