Thanks Jeremy. I'm glad to get this video before I deploy Veeam Agent or AOMEI Backupper on a friends Windows home PC. Much appreciated! 😀

"We don't want to download software directly from the website - like a neanderthal!" I LOVED this comment!!! 👍👍👍👍 Like you I prefer chocolatey or winget to do installs and keep things updated.

I was hoping someone would pick up on that comment. Maybe I'm just spoiled by package managers on Linux, as well as Homebrew on macOS. When options came available for Windows,bi just couldn't go backwards.

@@Practical-IT Right on. Just like apt install. Neanderthal free!

I've heard that AOMEI Backupper is a good program. I use a few other applications, but it looks like it would be very easy for some people to use. But, only thing is that they charge a lot for what you are getting. I like the simplicity, but the yearly license is not that fair of a price. I like buying a license and not having to pay until I want the newer version. Again, great video.

It's a decent tool. I have seen a few others out there that have a GUI, but have less advertising (at least (in-your-face advertising). I'm considering doing a video on how you could pair AOMEI Backupper with RClone and backup to the (RClone supported) cloud destination of your choice.

Great video Jeremy. Also, loved the Neanderthal reference lol

Is this still a good solution in 2024 for Win 11?
@Practical-ITАй бұрын
If you are just a general user, yes. If you are a power-user or needing to backup multiple systems it's probably worth considering something else.
