Hey Guys,
Here is a compiled video of my experience on Apache RTR 200 BS6. I have clocked 6500 kms so far and everything explained in this video are purely my experiences. Please feel free to add anything in the comments section below.

Hi guys, I wanted to update regarding the mileage test. I checked the mileage twice, one in city commutes and another during a long ride. I was surprised with the results tbh. In city I got a mileage of 48kmpl where I was cruising in between 60-90. This was beyond my expectations that's when I decided to check it during a long ride as well where I was cruising in between 80-100 mostly and it was a mix of highway and ghat section and the mileage I got here was 44.5kmpl. These are the exact figures I've got. I've been using Castrol Power1 Ultimate 10w40 from last 3k kms and its been doing pretty well for my longer rides especially. The change in the engine oil could be the reason for a higher fuel efficiency I assume !

If you want only speed and acceleration then I would suggest pulsar NS or dominar in Bajaj. But if you actually want a well refined machine which is a good city commuter or a beginner tourer you can easily go for this. The maintenance is also cheaper and easier comparatively...

Heyy, saw your video for the first time, great content. I bought it a few days back and while riding on gravel bumpy roads some rattling noise from chain side is heard ( not sure if it's actually from the chain or chain gaurd somewhere else ). I checked the sagging of the chain and it looked good, about 1-1.5 inches. What do you suggest? I'm planning to go to the service center soon, as I'm not riding the bike regularly.
@MMT31
@MMT31 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the feedback!:) I think it's not the chain here. It should be from the gear liver area. Even if the gear liver's play is more than normal there will be a sound also there will be a nut underneath the chain and close to gear liver and side stand, even if that's loose it can create sound. For me it was that nut which was loose but I never had any major or bothering sounds so far. But if you feel something unusual it's always better to get it checked...

Yes I guess you can install any custom levers. All the bikes above 150cc is coming with this universal gear shifts/lever and this will not be a problem at all. It might look complicated but it's very easy to operate. You can get a test ride done and see how you are getting along..

Watched full, yes. Sub'ed too 😊 Worth my time. I'm about to choose between MT15 / RTR200 / XPULSE 200T. Let's see. Man, can you find out what's the 'Number of links' in the chain of RTR200, what I know is it's 520pitch/14-45 sprockets, O-ring possibly. Considering imported DID/RK/EK Made in Japan chain for RTR for maximum smoothness and performance output. *Can you please find out what is number of links in the chain of your bike, it might possibly 128-132* please see

@@MMT31 One genius vblogger replied me recently that he could send a pic of chain for me to count 😂 That number most possibly must be in the manual which owner or service centers have access to. Thanks, will wait for your response. Reason is, if we have to order a imported Japanese chain, prices differ based on number of links 110-150, and of course the pitch size 410/418/520/525/530 and type such as Std/O/X/XW etc.
@MMT31
@MMT31 3 жыл бұрын
Hey bro, sorry for the delay. I might be wrong with the answer here but based on my counting and research the number of chain links are 118. I could not find it in user manual but I tried to count and cross check it online and it seems like 118 should be the number. The pitch size is 520-14 and 45. I honestly was not aware about all these things but I got to learn something about the sprocket and chain size from this comment. Thanks for that :D

I would suggest you to use motul gear oil 80W90 for chain lube.. just the type of review i was looking for, good job .. i have done 700 Km in a day on a 14year old honda 125 (dads bike) ...cruising at 60kmph and i'm planning to get the rtr 200 next .. what would you recommend ?
@MMT31
@MMT31 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback and suggestion bro. 700 kms a day on a 125cc bike is a great experience. RTR is a good vehicle no doubt but if you are considering a tourer mainly on highways you need to know few limitations like the sweet spot is between 80-100 with 5 speed gearbox so beyond 110 or something it won't be that comfy. If you are ok on that speeds then this bike is good to go but if you want to cruise beyond 110, there are other options like NS, Duke with 6 speed gearbox.

@@MMT31 no i don't rush during touring ... i like to keep decent pace ie below 100kmph and enjoy the scenes. but the only thing stopping me from booking the rtr is that i dont know if i'll fit .. i'm 6' tall.. and the showrooms won't provide test bike prior to booking😅

I don't think that's a problem bro. I have seen a lot of tall people during the Apache owners meet who are quite experienced in all conditions. But again it depends on person to person so you can test ride or see if you can rent one as well.

Hands down one of the best Ownership Review for Apache 200! Thank you!! Quick question - 1) How much did it cost for Matte PPF? 2) What is the mobile holder you are using?
@MMT31
@MMT31 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback 🙂. So the Matte PPF costed me 7.5k to coat all the parts(gloss surface) on the bike. This was a matte PPF so I had to convert everything to matte but if you want to go with the transparent gloss PPF then it would cost less than 4k for the tank unless you want to coat the whole bike with it. The mobile holder I'm using is of grand pitstop's which is available on Amazon but I would recommend not to go for this as this vibrates and feels insecure at times. There are other best alternatives like bobo gears and ram mount which are quite sturdy.

If cruising in less than 110 does 6th gear require.
@MMT31
@MMT31 2 жыл бұрын
Cruising in between 90 - 100 would be a sweet spot without any issues. It can be pushed to 110 with any efforts but continous cruising would not be too comfortable. The speed can be variated from 90 to 110 but continous locking of throttle in 110 would only be possible if there's a 6th gear.

Hello, I've been using this bike for 2 years and clocked 18k kms almost. Most of the kms were done by long distance rides than city commutes. I've not faced any such problems so far. I've followed the break-in period dos and don'ts, timely service and self maintenance. I've used 3 brands of engine oils and never noticed a drop even after doing long rides. If this bike is maintained well with good service and DIYs, it's one of the most reliable engines.

Please reply and help me brother, I'm extremely confused between RTR 200 and NS200. Which one should I go for? I mostly use my dad's pulsar 150 for city usage, and sometimes highways. Which one should I go for, I'm confused between NS200 and Apache 200. Better mileage and less vibration in which one?
@MMT31
@MMT31 2 жыл бұрын
Its very hard to suggest here because both are good bikes. The reason I ended up buying RTR is because of its refinement, bottom and mid end torque which is better than NS and yes in the top end NS is always better because of the 6th gear. I wanted a vehicle with very less maintenance, good fuel efficiency, more features like dual channel ABS, slipper clutch. I'm a person who's comfortable in 80-100 speed range and even though it's not liquid cooled, it does pretty well in high speed and long distance as the engine is a race tuned. I have ridden the BS4 and bs3 NS previously and on a personal note I only feel the 6th gear is a major difference. Throttle response and control is better on rtr is what I felt. NS is also a great vehicle. You can go for it if you are planning for touring mostly in highways. When talking about long term durability, I think RTR stands out. Going for a test ride will help in better understanding of ergonomics and other comfort.

It depends on your usage bro. Both the bikes are good for city commutes with good fuel efficiency but MT has a smaller seat compared to Apache. MT has a very good engine and all but the pillion comfort, headlight visibility are not up to the mark when you plan to get the bike on highway or during longer rides. @MMT31
@MMT31 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro. So based on your Q's I feel Apache has got one of the best headlight visibility on highway but if you consider riding at night most of the time then it's always better to fix aux lights and as I said you can tour on this if you're comfortable cruising in 80-110 and you might have to consider adding a cushioned seat. So if all these factors is ok with you then it's good to go. Talking about CB350, I haven't really got a chance to ride it but I've heard most of the reviewers say that even though it looks like a cruiser it can also be considered as a street bike and a good tourer as the seats are more comfortable (rider and pillion) but the headlight visibility is not that great and if consider the price it's almost a lakh more than Apache. But both the bikes are good in its price range. HONDA engines are always more reliable

Hi bro... 1. To be honest I did not really use the gtt anywhere yet. I had been to Bangalore in stop&go traffic but I never got the tendency or rather reminded about the gtt (maybe it was new to us and we never used it before). Once we start leveraging it I'm pretty sure it will be used more often.. 2. Gear shifts are actually smooth compared to NS and Duke but sometimes I feel the 2 to 3 shift is kinda hard. That might be because of the chain slack or dry chain. But it's not that hard though. Easily manageable. 3. I was talking about the extra cushioning for the seat and the product called ride on air which is available in Amazon and bike accessories shop..

@MMT31
@MMT31 2 жыл бұрын
Sure. There are 2 types of PPF, one is transparent which remains as glossy on coating over the bike and the other one is matte and there are two ways to coat this PPF on the surface. One is ready made sheets with cuts/edges which is commonly used and the other one is spray PPF where the liquid can be sprayed like a paint on the surface. Usually when the surface has a lot of cuts and edges or curves like you find on a sports bike, it's best to get the spray PPF done as it can go and settle in every corner without any cut works. If it's for a car or a bike like royal Enfield where the surface is plain the normal ready made sheet PPF can be pasted on it...

Hi, Thank you for this amazing review. I just need to ask a question. I am planning to purchase this bike. Now I am tall 6'1" +. Will this be comfortable for me, like for long rides?
@MMT31
@MMT31 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback:) I think your height shouldn't be a problem actually but if you are planning this for longer rides you might have to modify the seat to make it more comfortable. Apart from that there shouldn't be any problems with seating position or anything but it's always better to get a test ride done before you take a call..

 @MMT Hi, I did rent this bike and observed that I got knee pain in less than an hour of riding! I believe it could be because I've slightly longer legs for my height, which is 6"1'. As I understand, it's not easy to alter the position of footpegs. Please correct me if I am wrong as this is the single major factor that is not allowing me to go ahead with this bike. I am currently leaning towards the Bajaj Pulsar F250.
@MMT31
@MMT31 2 жыл бұрын
I think the footpegs position cannot be modified. But if you experienced the knee pain then it can be a issue in long term. Since it's a sporty posture it might be difficult for tall riders to get adjusted I guess.

@@MMT31 One more option could be raising the seat height. Is there some option that can raise it by good 2-3cms?

Bro tell me , how did u choose rtr and i am planning to buy a 200cc bike and confused between ns and RTR , and my one major question is why did u choose rtr over ns because ns gets 6th gear and liquid cooling system and more power , because ur also in touring know so that
@MMT31
@MMT31 3 жыл бұрын
Hey bro...good Q. So the reason I ended up buying RTR is because of its refinement and bottom and mid end torque which is better than NS and yes in the top end NS is always better because of the 6th gear. I wanted a vehicle with very less maintenance, good fuel efficiency, more features like dual channel ABS, slipper clutch. I'm a person who's comfortable in 80-100 speed range and even though it's not liquid cooled, it does pretty well in high speed and long distance as the engine is a race tuned one. I have ridden the BS4 and bs3 NS enough previously and on a personal note I only feel the 6th gear is a major difference. Throttle response and control is better on rtr is what I felt. NS is also a great vehicle. You can go for it if you are planning for touring mostly in highways. When talking about long term durability, I think RTR stands out. Bajaj engines usually tends to lose refinement in long term.

Bro thanks for your honest feedback , one question the bike comes with Bluetooth navigation right so why do you have a phone holder
@MMT31
@MMT31 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback bro:) Yes this comes with Bluetooth navigation system but the thing is, the GPS which is used is not Google's so the accuracy is not that great and the maps get disconnected when the internet is gone as it doesn't load the maps like Google. And moreover it can drain the phone's battery that's the reason I got the external mobile holder fixed.

This is a good beginner friendly tourer bro. Even I use this for weekend rides and touring and as I've explained in the video, if you are comfortable with 80-100 crusing speeds on highways then this is good to go. But if you plan to tour on highways most of the time and willing to cruise in 120s then you can go for a 6 speed vehicle like NS. But overall RTR is a good bike for touring and city commutes. It's always better to do a test ride and see which is ideal as preferences differ from person to person.

Chain noise?

Not really. I'm currently using TRM Calidad chain lube. It keeps chain lubed for a longer period and there's no problem of it spilling in high speeds. Since I've been using this product I've never faced any major sounds from the chain side.
