Hey #TDD viewers - welcome back to another vlog! I went apartment hunting in Columbus, Ohio and I'm taking you along for the ride. This is part 1, part 2 coming soon ;)
MY APARTMENT PREFERENCES:
I was looking for a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with lots of natural lighting, a kitchen island, an open living room with space to host my fellow physical therapy residents, and I knew I wanted an apartment complex with a fitness center.
I was also looking in areas where I knew I'd want to live and that could be walkable to my favorite things, like coffee shops and restaurants.
I had such a fun weekend. Have you ever been to Columbus? What are your favorite spots?

I’m looking for apartments in the area as well, would have been great to know the names of the complexes visited, if it’s possible to update the description with the names of each that would be a tremendous help! Also, congrats on getting into your dream residency, what an accomplishment!

I hear you. I hadn't chosen an apartment at the time I uploaded, so for safety reasons I couldn't say. Prices depend heavily on the time you're looking and what deals they're running, but a search on apartments.com was where I started. Thanks for watching :)

I think that's a fair point and I've thought the same when watching other apt hunting videos, but im realizing the reason others probably dont and the reasons I didnt are 1. there are so many different price ranges for different floor layouts and they change drastically depending on move-in date and what floor you're on so it's hard to keep track and remember and 2. if I share how much or how little i'm paying there will be the inevitable judgement on how I choose to spend my own money so I just left it alone haha.

I think the thing I'd say to anyone looking to move to Columbus is that prices will vary a lotttt depending on when you're moving (more expensive in the summer) so I don't want to get anyone's hopes up or make them feel like they can't live somewhere (this happened to me when i got inaccurate info from an online source) when in fact they might be able to get more accurate information with just a quick search on google and phone call to the places they're interested in!
