They have a small space that needs to be decluttered, organized, and re-designed to accomodate two home offices and a bedroom/art room for her daughter. Today we're swapping a bedroom and an office room which involves a lot of furniture moving. If you work from home and you have a home office, or if you have a kid who studies from home, or if you've had to design a home office space because of 2021... then this series is for you!

🌿About The Suitcase Designer - 🙋🏻♀️ I'm April, this channel is a space to combine my love of interiors with my life as an ever moving expat. I just wanted to mention that I love the disclaimer at the beginning of your videos, it's so important to remind people to be kind to one another. In the end we are all human, just because we see you on our screens, it doesn't make you less real. Loved that. Aaand I also loved this progress!! I know it's going to look awesome and I can't wait to see the finished makeover :3

should consider a loft bed so all the toys can go under! a curtain to hide them as well when not in play.

That's a great idea! but she already had a bed so we wanted to try and reuse that, but in the next episode we made more use out of the storage underneath!

I've been watching this Korean show called House Detox, and what I enjoy is the decluttering as well as the transformation of the space without buying any additional furniture; they just re-use existing pieces in the home, just moving things around to where it fits/looks best. Shows that there's no need to buy more stuff, whatever you need is probably already in the home!

super mom strength is because we have constant arm workouts carrying our kids around lol. my toddler weighs 30 lbs. Am I going to just not pick him up every time he wants me to because of that? heck no. so yeah getting pretty strong lol

This is what I want to see. Not some time lapse of broken cluttered space to a fancy showroom demo transformation that doesn't make any sense. Let's be real majority of us have don't have the time, money, skill or help to do all that. I can't say this enough, thanks for being real.

Holy moly!! I can see the vision!! It would best if they could possibly let go of half the stuff they don't love! That way, their fun items and collections can be showcased! Her daughter is just the cutest and I love her creativity 💗

Just got through the introduction and explanation and oh my god, I'm so excited for this series! Edit: Done and I seriously really can't wait for the next episode! It's so cool and fascinating to see how you present and execute your ideas, and especially how you also think outside of the box. I think it was really smart to switch the rooms

Most props go to my husband, the writer, who listens to what I'm saying and helps present the makeover's story in an understandable (not spacey way). Can't wait to share the rest of the series! It's going to be such a fun one!

love it! I switched what room was office was in as well, this new room gets more sunlight which is critical in winter I need some sunlight the other room is too dark and gloomy :)

Sort of looking forward to the next episode because the amount of stuff there is making me anxious. Clutter of any kind stresses me. I don't mean the kind of stress where you go "Whew feeling a bit stressed". I mean the kind where my blood pressure goes up, I get the shakes and I want to break down in tears.

@@SpaceMakerMethod Actually the strange thing is no I didn't. Quite the opposite actually. I'm the youngest of four daughters (all in our 60's now) and from a young age, we always had household and farm chores to do. Three of us grew up always trying to keep a neat and tidy home and the other while messy has never had a dirty house.

living in a small place is so haaaaaaard... I have my fair share of living in small houses as a big family. we just had to not own anything basically! I didn't own anything (not even a bed) until I was 12~13

Small spaces are definitely more work and a challenge, but I find myself liking them more as I grow older. It helps me purchase less.

Love your progress so far! Not sold on the girl's bed being directly under the book shelf, could be painful if something falls off it. Also, guilty of uttering a small sigh of relief when you moved the girl's desk and something broke because yay one clutter thing less to shuffle around😅 OK, I'm going to rot in hell forever🙈
