대륙아주 아프리카 그룹의 티모시 디킨스 외국변호사, 김경 외국변호사, 강우경 변호사가 올해 3월부터 산업통상자원부가 발족한 ’제1차 한·아프리카 경제협력 민관추진위원회‘로 선정되어, 위원회 소속 기관들과 긴밀히 협업하면서 한·아프리카 정상회담을 준비하였습니다.
이러한 노고 끝에 대륙아주는 지난 6월 4일 국내 민간기업 중 유일하게 ‘2024 한-아프리카 정상회의’의 공식 부대행사인 '2024 한-아프리카 에너지 투자 포럼(Powering Growth: Africa-Korea, Uptapped Opportunities)'을 성공적으로 개최하였습니다.
한아프리카재단과 공동주최로 개최된 이번 포럼에는 플랜트산업협회, 무역보험공사, 한국무역투자진흥공사의 협력지원과 외교부 및 산업통상자원부의 후원이 있었으며, 나경원 국회의원과 이규철 대표변호사, 여운기 한아재단 이사장, 이지형 KOTRA 본부장 등이 참석하여 자리를 빛내주셨습니다.
총 230여명의 아프리카 기업인들 및 아프리카 정부 대표단 등이 방문한 이번 포럼은 에너지, 인프라, 핵심광물, 대 아프리카 진출을 준비하는 기업들에 대한 금융지원 방안 등 4개의 세션으로 나눠 진행되었으며, 성황리에 마무리 되었습니다.
행사종료 후 대륙아주는 아프리카에서 오신 손님들을 1300년의 역사가 담긴 봉은사로 모셔서 우리나라의 자랑스러운 역사와 문화를 소개하는 시간을 가졌습니다.
한-아프리카 간의 지속적인 정보 교환 및 교류를 통한 우호적인 관계형성과 무역 활성화를 기원하며, 대륙아주는 우리 기업의 대 아프리카 진출에 필요한 법무법인으로 자리매김 하겠습니다.
Along with the appointment of DR & AJU’s Timothy Dickens, Kyeong (Catherine) Kim, and Wookyung Kang as members of the “1st Public-Private Committee for Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation," by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, DR & AJU LLC's Africa Group has long prepared for the Korea-Africa Summit in close collaboration with the affiliated institutions under the Committee.
On June 4, DR & AJU LLC successfully hosted the “2024 Korea-Africa Energy Investment Forum (Powering Growth: Africa-Korea, Untapped Opportunities)” thanks to these efforts, as the only private Korean company to host an official side event of the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit.
Co-hosted by the Korea-Africa Foundation, the forum was supported by the 한국플랜트산업협회 (KOPIA), the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (Ksure), and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Korea (MOFA) and the 산업통상자원부. Notable attendees included Parliamentary Member, H.E. Kyung-won Na, Managing Partner Kyu-chul Lee, President of the Korea-Africa Foundation Amb. Woon-ki Lyeo, and Executive Vice President of KOTRA Jihyung Lee.
Over 230 businesspersons and government delegations from African countries attended the forum, which consisted of four sessions. Each session was dedicated to discussing energy, infrastructure, critical minerals, and financial support measures for Korean companies entering the African market. During the event, participants engaged in meaningful discussions and cultivated valuable partnerships.
After the forum, DR & AJU hosted a tour of Bongeunsa Temple, a Buddhist temple steeped in 1,300 years of history, where the guests had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Korean history and culture.
DR & AJU Africa Group is dedicated to further the development of Korea-Africa cooperation and the proliferation of mutual trade through information exchange and interaction and will always be at the forefront of the Korea-Africa relationship.
