The funniest part of Taxi being banned for the caustic boost was because he was streaming the exploit.

I'd say a lot of these are in the category of: You shouldn't get banned for using it, but they should fix it on their end.

Configs are bannable but Respawn and EA don't seem to want to or able to actually enforce it...

As a console player all of this is just unreal to me and I'm super sad that respawn doesn't enable lots of the movement on console or making it more accessible for everyone

Others mentioned it but ill say it again. Anytime you change anything about the game that isnt a option from the menus, that the devs themselves put there. Thats ban worthy. The movement techs should never be banned. Thats the player using your game to play. Sure is it frustrating to go up against, absolutely. But anyone can do it with practice. But if you go into the config files, or use another program that changes the game, thats bannable. Puting a Rampart torrent on a crypto drone and flying it around and shooting players, not bannable. Thats just using the game how it was made.

The first one (Taxi's caustic boost) seems unfair because it's only doable with caustic, so compared to punch boosting, where all player can do it seems unfair

Configs should be considered cheating (EA is OK with them because it allows controller players to movement so they spend more $$$). They allow inhuman inputs that I can't even do on MnK while you also get aim assist.

Whenever a tech is found, the devs should either remove it or make the tech easier to pull off. With superglides for example, they should change the code so that it'll work within a 0.1 second window, framerate agnostic.

I play roller and half the time people cant tell. we both play and love the game lol we can do the same things with settings nowadays. Other than that great video yall! Edit; The only configs i use for apex is I have made a reshade preset thats like the darker hd glow like that guy had and I have tapstrafe binds in my steam which is connected to the game so nothing external other than the filters that hurt my frame rate for eye candy lmao That rampart is a wizard Should I upload my reshade preset to nexus to share? You just download and when u doin the install 4 reshade select the preset file and it does the settings 4 u automatically for games. Its on meh channel. All of these "movement tech" is based around configs and scripts and all of these should be banned or atleast fixed, it's not normal, when you can just turn 180 in a milisecond or jump 30 meters up from rope and do 180 at the same time, it's just braindead, with the same logic i can just use mouse scripts with anti-spread movement. "Movement tech" is something that anyone can do with just little bit of training, not spamming buttons, not binding movement to mouse scroll, nothing even close to that. Like what are you two on? Taxi should be perma anyways, little boy crying over bans, but every one of them is deserved.

Configs, especially when used by controller players, should 100% make you lose your account. The whole idea between Roller vs MNK is that roller trades Mnk's movement for significantly more consistent sprays. The idea that players like Extesy get as popular as they do while abusing configs is simply disappointing.

see, im not a cfg user but i dont think it should be bannable. tapstrafing is only on pc and so are cfgs. anyone on pc can do it just like tapstrafing so technically they are both unfair so if you want to get banned for tap strafing then thats similar to being banned for cfgs, but idk what u can do with cfgs all i really know is superglide but thats just timing. when it gets to really hard if not impossible things like neostrafing then i think thats where they can draw the line.

imma be honest, if mnk players can rebind buttons to tap strafe and do movement shit thats op against everybody then it should be finr for a controller player to change their buttons for steam configs to do the same movements

Tap strafe ruins apex literally is only fun for people who can do it Also if tap strafe is supposed to be standard movement tech then all devices pc or console should have it unless pc players want all advantages over console other then a point 2 difference in aim assist streamers are ruining this game I’ve played since release and nothing I say will ever will matter only paid players of apex matter it’s pathetic

I mostly agree with boom on configs but the problem is thats its a very grey issue. Some configs are really insignificant and only provide minor changes (such as audio configs), others literally remove recoil. So it really is a much more complex issue. Any config that makes it easier for you to kill other players (removing recoil) should 100% be bannable. But theres nothing wrong with wanting to be able to hear a little better. And movement configs are also a touchy subject because they have a wide variety of impact as well. On one hand you've got neo strafing cfgs where you can fly around in a circle with the tap of a button, but then on the other hand, most superglide configs only make the timing slightly easier but don't necessarily take away from the mechanical skill required to use the tech in the first place. At the end of the day, all configs are not equal, and it would be impossible to enforce any kind of cfg ban. But it's definitely an interesting topic.
