Patrick, you have to agreed that the "live trailing drawdown" is Apex's money maker. Why not move to end of day trailing drawdown? They won't change it because that's how they make most of their money. You know that 100%!

Patrick... I was going to purchase 10 Apex evaluation account this week, but after analyzing the trailing drawdown, NO WAY! for the moment I will continue using other prop firms until they change it to EOD (End Of Day). This is a Big issues for a lot of people. I hope Apex listens.

You have to use small size and grow the account slowly. I now have 5 funded accounts with Apex. It has made me a better trader focusing on the trade and not how much I made on each trade. Slow and steady wins the race.

The only thing that i got with Apex with the trailing drawdown was fear of letting my trades run. Trading is a bussiness on which one is in figth with oneself, there is no logic as a trader to fear let the trade run to objectives. The trailing drawdown kills your hability to be a good trader. Different thing is this 20 accounts thing, where one is NOT a trader, is a shooting 5 points gambler that gets goods payouts because of that 20 multiplication thing. Best wishes!!😊

I can see your point. Kinda you’re right, but I’ll be more happy not to be a good trader and get $100 x 20 account on a daily basis and be able to afford a bit better quality of life. No offence to you at all!

People don't understand that this drawdown teaches you to take profits and quit trying to make profit and stop loss ratios work for you. I've never understood why people are so stuck on profit and loss ratios. It kills traders because that's not how markets work. Trade what's in front of you!!

It definitely suits me well as a scalper, taking small profits, and moving to break even quickly after the trade goes my way. I scratch a lot but also take a lot of trades.

actually doesn't. Even a perfect setup, I can guarantee you there are pullback points you did not expect. If you are that prophetic that you know that a trade you put on will go directly to your Take Profit, then you are a trading genius. [this is from someone who has received payout on my first Apex accounts]. I mean are you really going to tell someone who holds positions for hours what you just said? or a swing trader? What the firm encourages through this trailing drawdown is scalpers.

Trailing drawdown is just stressful and not proper and fair trading conditions.. makes it into a game.. youre gunna always be on the edge about any movement in price. Yes its bad. EOD is king

If topstep let you copy trade up to 20 then Apex would lose half their customers lol 💯. That topstep drawdown is where it’s at but I use Apex due to copy trading

It’s better than passing a combine with 5 cons and then get a XFA where now you can only trade 2 cons make it hard to make money and they know in time you will blow it because 2 cons is hard to make a good buffer

I mean I have had more success in a 150k trading fewer contracts, not more. Minis are a lot of leverage by themselves, if you don't get a perfect entry you can screw yourself before it makes a bigger move the way you expect. Trading with huge size can pass quick but I have paid for more resets that way lol.

@@Harkz0rI totally agree I was just making a point . That the combine you can use 5 Minnis if you want so the Pa should be the same . Cutting it down to 2 Minnis is by design the longer your in a Pa the better chance that you bust. Some people trade heavy and that’s cool to just have to be good at risk management . We all blow accounts I have anyway lol

This gonna be my challange after passing the 50k combine today.. it'd like 2 things go against you.. the trailing, plus your losses.. so it would be smart to go hard where your at 4k on first day if possible

If you can’t handle a trailing drawdown you shouldn’t be trading. Once you build a buffer on your funded account that drawdown no longer matters

Let me clarify that Apex Trader Funding trailing drawdown is not a scam. It's how the business operates to make their money like any other business. There is no correct or wrong way of setting prop firm rules. Yes, some people disagree with apex about it, but there will always be disagreements in life anyways. It's all based off of personal preference.
