That happened to me with Dear Agony from Breaking Bad, I have a slower version with violin and piano. I talked about it with a friend, who then told me that the song I was talking about doesn't exist, I tried searching on Spotify and KZfaq- And I can't find it to save my life!

When i started to listen to this version with Doug singing i thought NO, only Brent. But then i understood that both vocalists are cool and unique in there own style, voice, way of singing so i can't compare them. Brent's vocal is very deep and clear, Doug's is very emotional and this hoarseness in his voice is very charming. No way , both versions a perfect

I can't decide between Doug and Brent. Both have huge pros. Brent has more volume in his voice and uses it really well. He also is better with the sound of the song. Doug has more emotion in his lyrics. He also has a better voice to the context of the song.

Michael Ramsey I’ve had the same issue as well, with Spotify. I’m just guessing, but it has to be a licensing or copyright issue. It sucks, because I love this version of the song.

Not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first, but those die hard fans of Brent's version, give this a chance and listen through, Doug does a pretty good job redefining the song in his own way. Very well made, and he really made a version of his own entirely.

Brent's version is more solemn in the fact he uses his tone to demonstrate his emotion and feeling, whereas Doug just takes the house down with an anthem version and he makes it to the point of I have to sing along with him because it's just badass. Both are amazing in their unique ways but Mr. Robb kills this song in any universe. It was made for him no questions asked.

I fucking love both versions. This is why music is so beautiful. In my opinion Brent has a god like rock voice and his is hard to compare to against any one for that matter. But damn Doug killed it to. I'm happy we get blessed with not one but 2 beautifully sang songs

Two different versions of a beautiful song. The first I fell in love with years ago but at some point it became almost traumatic for me. And now this. All the emotion reached me and renewed my love for the lyrics and the music. Sick finish, makes me want to shout and cry and listen to it all over again. Thank you for the journey. That is a nice way of saying that even though everyone else loves the other dude, this one did his job well too. I mean people are just different, and some people are better at some things than others. The sooner people realise that comparing yourself to others is a straight road to misery is the better.

Exactly, each vocalist has its pros and cons, some have more pros than cons and viceversa, but who is better depends on each one's tastes. Sadly, Hoobastank (Doug Robb's band) isn't considered good and it isn't only because of the voice but also because of the music, some songs are weird and repetitive, even though I like a lot of them
