Great video! A couple friends and myself are looking at doing this section (starting at Standing Bear though) soon ... it was great that you included the shelter areas and water update as well! Very helpful :)

Thanks for the wonderful comment. We didn't go up to the Roaring Fork Shelter because there was a group of people hanging out but it appeared to be nicer than the other two from what we saw. We hope you enjoy your section hike. Happy Trails!!

Were there bear cables at all of the shelters?

@cmcpetty none that I am aware of. Really just the smokies shelters have bear cables at every shelter.

where did you find overnight parking in Hot Springs? Looking to do this section next month.

There's a trailhead/parking lot right when the trail enters town right beside Laughing Heart Hostel.
