Dude don't max out the volume! Headphones will f* up your ears (destroys all the tiny hairs in your ears & subsequently your hearing). The louder you listen, the louder you'll need to listen in the future due to damage. Learn to listen as quietly as possible & you'll adjust to the new volume & be able to hear the music better. Listen loudly and it will flatten all the tiny inner ear hairs & you'll hear less & less no matter how loud...

I didn’t expect to be so entertained and cracked up by watching both of your reactions. And yeah, I agree with both of you. I want them, in no small part because I like for example getting out of the iMac, getting to the tv, pick the apple remote and do this: tap hold the tv icon, choose the AirPodsPro on the airdisplay icon option (the AirPods will be there waiting to be selected) and done. Selection, pairing and audio output going straight to the AirPods Pro in 3seconds flat max. The apple ecosystem is rock solid for me and I know these AirPods Max will fit in nicely to it with super quality sound to boot.

not really how sound works tho, right? If you want to get a better description then you have to see people's reviews that actually review audio since there isn't really any way to show or accurately demonstrate sound. I recommend looking out for the review from DMS since he said he would review it and is involved in the audiophile community. It'll take about a week though for a review to come out.

@Espen Fredrick Yes but he also does give a disclaimer that the sound test won't be representative of how it actually sounds. Frequency response also isn't a good way to represent how a headphone sounds as well once you get to a certain level. You can really only use frequency response to determine a general sound. Things like soundstage, imagining, and the finite characteristics of headphones are things you have to actually listen to them to actually know the sound of. That's why you need someone who actually knows of these types of things to actually review them. MKBHD should know what they sound like since he has used a variety of audiophile headphones, but in his review, he didn't go to far into the details of sound as a headphone reviewer typically would. If you want to have a good idea of how something will sound without actually hearing it, you'll need to read/watch a review that goes into those details and discusses the quirks of the sound while also understanding the terms that they are using. Why do I write such long comments?

I’m an ex- audiophile。 Steven is right, audiophiles are an unpleasant group of folks. They will spend thousands of dollar on audio equipment only to complain and whine about how horrible the sound is. They won’t even touch the AirPod max because it’s not made by some obscure brand in a nuclear engineer’s lab of some Scandinavia country.

somethings missing here. They don't seem to notice imaging and depth of soundstage at all. It's very easy to use DSP trickery to create a wide soundstage, but a deep soundstage is very hard to do.

But the more opinions the better :) I’m mostly looking forward to a potential review from SnazzyLabs. - Will listen myself at some point though as the final, meaningful marker for what I think.

Thank you for this detailed video. I just bought the Air Pods Pro last month on sale at Costco and wish I did it earlier as the sound separation is day and night different compare to the JABRA Elite Sport which of course is still great for swimming or wet condition as it is 100% water proof. Will wait a bit to get this beauty.

God I hope they're not the same I had a pair of beats like 5 years ago and they were overpriced garbage. My sennheiser hd598s are far superior at 1/3 the cost. A pair of great headphones overblown bass does not make.

I would look around on other reviews as well. Some people are really digging into these things, and this reviewer claimed there was no ANC pressure or noise, but there is. It's not extreme, but it's there. That to me discredits some of the information.

You honestly should not be listening at max volumes for a certain amount of time, really no more than an 45 min a day. You will have long term hearing loss and damage, like your mild case of tinnitus. You should adapt to listening to no higher than 70 decibels and learn to appreciate sound quality that way, as you can practically listen all day. Loudness does not equal sound quality.

The only thing you missed, is can you buy a microphone which connect via lightning and do they work? To connect to the AirPods and use the detach able micro phone

I'm very happy with my bose qc35ii. I never used one headphone so confortable as they are. 600 bucks is an insane price.

@@allansh828 audiophiles can get much better at 600 dollars, this headphones don't know if they are for public overall or for professional works, Marques tested thosr and he said ANC was about tha same as Xm4, anb battery life 16-20h compared to 35-45 you would find in Xm4 ir xb900n, sound I just don't have enough info but I guess it's a little better since Xm4 have been out there for longer, anyway, not good enough for a normal person, and probably useless to most people outside US since it doesn't work properly without an iPhone and the prices are pretty unbelievable out US too, so I believe most audiophiles will go for other choices

Did you do a burn in of the head phones? Good headphones need a burn in period to open the drivers up. Play loud dubstep or electronic music at full volume for like 2 days. Do these sound better after that?

I use my Bose NC 700 in a data center for calls, and the environment is super loud from all the fans from the servers. The Bose blocks out all the noise, and I can have conversations perfectly fine. Can you test calls with that type of noise/environment?

@@aussiestubabe headphones get all the way up to $60,000 dollars. Audio products have their own huge market/world amongst audiophiles. Some of it is BS but $2000 headphones off a good DAC and amp really can sound incredible.

Stuart Carter they can go astronomically high. I have a head unit for my car (car stereo) that cost $1200, purely for high fidelity music. It literally only has a volume knob; no cd slot, no FM-AM radio, no interface, no smart features (aside from Bluetooth) just a single unit with a volume knob. That’s not including speakers, tweeters, amps, subwoofers. $550 is a budget headset by comparison. Consumer grade high quality listening experience. Nothing mind blowing, but it does the job, and it does it very well. The fact that you can get good sound for only $550 is a feature in it of itself.

Did u notice when using on iPhone they sound the best w equalizer turned off? When u use any preset it sounds to me like the sound is limited.

Yup . Just don’t say they are audiophile quality though. Those attributes are quantifiable. But if you want to say wearing these makes you feel good, go right ahead. Just don’t say they sound as good as headphones costing 3-4 times it’s price.

If the case was premium, holding a battery on itself making the headphone charge in the case it would’ve been well worth it if supporting wireless charging like the other air pods. But yeah they gonna charge you extra for that.
