Here is a dessert that is a 10!! It does take a little time to put it together, but it is so worth it!!
Ingredients for crust
2 cans crescent rolls
Ingredients for apples
Three apples
4 Tbsp Melted butter
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp clove
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ginger (not used in video)
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
Ingredients for Cream cheese filling
2 packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1.5 tsp Vanilla
Method
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Peel, core, slice, and dice apples. You can find the one I use on Amazon at this link a.co/d/6SMP2C7
Heat skillet over medium heat and add 4 Tbsp butter (either melted or melt the stick)
Add apples and coat with butter
Add seasonings (2 Tbsp brown sugar, 1/2 cinnamon, 1/2 tsp clove, 1/2 nutmeg, 1/2 tsp ginger)
Add 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Stir to coat
Allow apples to remain over medium heat until soft and cooked to your preference. Stir occasionally.
Add two packages of softened cream cheese to a large bowl
1 cup powdered sugar
1.5 tsp vanilla extract
Mix with hand or stand mixer until creamy
Set aside
Roll out one can of crescent rolls into a baking dish, pinch seams and flatten.
Spread cream cheese mixture to cover crust.
Add cooked apples to the cream cheese and spread as evenly as possible
Cover with second roll of crescent rolls
Sprinkle top with Cinnamon and Sugar
Bake for 20 mins at 375 (add a few more minutes if crust is still doughy)
Serve and enjoy…wonderful with vanilla ice cream!
