I am always amazed by how many people have an ipad and use it everyday but don’t know about some of these amazing features.
So I’m about to show you my 30 favorite tips, tricks, and hidden features to unlock your iPad’s full potential.
These can save you time and bring your iPad to the next level. And the best thing is most of these work on any ipad out there. I will be showing them on an M1 iPad Pro, but like I said you can use a regular ipad, ipad air, ipad Mini, whatever.

For folks who find Mike’s delivery to be too fast, you can slow down the playback speed using the gear icon that appears in the upper right when you pause the video - then go to playback speed and select your speed. But remember to change it back to normal when you’re done, as I believe all future YT videos you play will also play at the slower speed if you don’t.

Hey Mike,thanks for the 30 tips and tricks video, I want you to know how nice your videos are, however I want to also tell you that at 77 yrs of age it is a lot of info to follow and understand. So I was delighted to see the transcript as well as the timeline with images of what you were discussing. I am familiar with settings and saw all the uses listed for finger uses, and sort of left it alone.. Your video encouraged me to give it a try. So I am saving you video to work on it slowly in the next few weeks. Again, great work and thanks.

Hi Mike, excited to start watching this awesome info. I have a brand new iPad Pro 12.9 with latest system upgrade. when I follow along with you and get to lock notes my screen doesn't match yours. For example I am in Notes press and hold so the small window appears but my small window only says: Open in New Window, Send a Copy, Move and Delete. there is no Lock. Also tried the 5 fingers, 4 fingers etc and it didn't work. So any suggestions? Thanks for your information.

Psst - Slide Over can be on the right - OR that left. :) (though i can’t get the arrow to disappear when it’s on the left and off the screen) Also - on the tap and drag - if you want it to go to slide over - just release anywhere on the screen. And hopefully, people know they can swipe between open slide over apps open. like on the iPhone.

Another way to to use tip 24 ( 3:10 ) is by long pressing the space bar with 1 finger and moving it left and right :)

It’s not available on any iPad, so far as I can tell. I don’t know why he included that in this video. An internet search yielded many people asking for the feature in official apple forums and the only responses were “suggest this to Apple”. Seems weird that you can unlock an iPhone and a Mac/MacBook with a watch, but not the iPad.

I don't think the iPad supports unlocking with Apple Watch. It doesn't look like the option is even shown in Settings in the video. 9:16

I noticed that too. In the video he refers to "Touch ID" though, and mine doesn't have that it has Face ID. Maybe it's only for Touch ID devices, which kind of makes sense I suppose.

Go to settings at top of utube screen. Reduce playback speed. Sounds a little weird, but gives you more time to hear. 🇨🇱

What I find it to be annoying is... when I have a youtube video playing full screen in landscape and I try to scroll the timeline... many time it'll swipe the app itself to next or previous app.

Unfortunately, yes it is limited to Apple products like airpods, airpods max, etc. I wish that was not true. Samsung offers a similar feature that works regardless of the earbuds brand

Do have any advice on how to start up a dead I pad? My newer iPad Pro at 77% battery would not turn back on after turning it off. I’ve tried a hard reset. Charging for 24 hours (even though it is a black screen and doesn’t show it’s charging). Then I’ve tried the volume up button followed quickly by the volume down button and then the power button…still nothing. I have work on it and I need it like NOW. Help?

I had that issue too when I first tried it. After enabling it, go to accessibility shortcut and make sure "guided access" is the shortcut. If it does not work, just restart your iPad. That worked for me

So far as I know, and I’ve played a lot with the photos app, all photos stay in the camera roll. Albums just curate a series of shortcuts to specific photos you select for a given album.

I know it doesn’t apply to you but my number one grievance with the iPad is the fact that Apple is $ a billion company but still doesn’t support Greek handwriting in its devices.. which I think it’s ridiculous since Samsung, Google and other companies just have full support for tens of languages. So as you can imagine, my experience with my iPad is quite limited when it comes to features that I just cannot use.
