In 2017 Apple launched their first phone featuring the vibrant OLED display - iPhone X. I compare it with the LCD screen of iPhone 11 launched in 2019.
You will see the striking difference with the BLACK colour at the end - on the OLED display it is virtually a switched off area of the screen, while on the LCD it stays lit up, not giving such a depth and realistic feel.
OLED display is featured on iPhone X, iPhone XS / Pro, iPhone 11 Pro / Pro Max, iPhone 12 / Pro / Max.
LCD display is featured on iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and the others before this era. Of course, there are some other differences, such as True Colour (True Color), HDR and so on.

Oled have better blacks but that’s it I still prefer lcd apple iPhone more they look more nicer and clearer

the oled display has like a weird magenta aura around anything thats black and it honestly gets so annoying especially in dark mode but ofc apple makes using an old model super inconvenient

Здрасти. Двата ти варианта имат по-значителни разлики, най-вече операционната система. Трябва да си избереш Android или iOS, едва след това идва избор на дисплей :)

I think he had this backwards my iPhone 11 Pro Max had OLED versus my girlfriend iPhone 11 OLED came 2019 anything under is LCD

iPhone 11 has LCD. IPhone 11 Pro / Pro Max has OLED.

@@One4AllByRangel i’m still using 5s rn, but i’m really want the camera from iphone 11.. but i think both of them are have same display technology (IPS).. that’s why i’m confused between camera or display

@@sora01897 Okay, go for the 11 then. Go for the cam. You won't notice any difference on the screen technology, coming from the 5S. XS is quite old already. I upgraded from X to 11 and it was a bit weird only for a couple of days. All fine now, got used to the 11 :)

In my opinion, lcd. Oled can cause serious eye strain and headaches because of pwm flickering. I had an iPhone 12 and sold it in order to buy again the iPhone 11 just because of this. Oled usually is more impressive, but it’s not worth your health.

@@boutch1993 only some people are affected by pwm Most aren't and oled emits 70% less harmful blue light than lcd

@@dirtydirtsgt4751 well… as I said, it was my opinion. Blue light or not, oled was doing much more harm to my eyes health than lcd. If you think oled is better, great! I’m not arguing

@@boutch1993 it's ok, it's your opinion but it's not the truth oled is generally safer to eyes if you aren't sensitive to pwm if you are then it's a different story
