Your not missing out on anything trust me. I’m using the 6s plus and still thrilled with what I have as long as the software lasted and the update of apps but I need to upgrade like a year and half ago. The phone surfs the web, makes calls, take photos, plays games. Not sure what we’re missing here.

Still have my 12 pro max and my 14 pro max , I kinda like the stainless steel and the chunky build of these models , I have largish mitts and old peepers, so the big screen models always look good too me. I like wider bigger devices , , and bigger devices have room for bigger battery, bigger keyboard, so yeah, always room for improvement. But the 14 PM is my daily and it still works like a beauty and still has 97% battery health , I’m in no hurry to buy a newey.

I went from an 11 Pro Max to a 13 Mini because I got tired of lugging the size and weight, I love my 13 Mini but missed having macro and zoom feature so when I heard numerous rumors that the 16 Pro series were going to get bigger i purchased a 15 Pro two months ago and glad that I did as this is as big as I am willing to go in the future after many years with Apple, the current combination of a 13 Mini and the 15 Pro checks all my boxes in size and performance until and if Apple ever decides to offer a practical phone size again or flip version in the future.

I got both a 15 pro and a 13 mini when my 12 mini died earlier this year on a buy one get one at costco/t-mo. I tried the 15p for a couple of months but I ended up going back to the mini and it just feels so right, there isn't anything on the pro that would make me want to give up the form factor. The 15 pro is back in the box on shelf as a "Spare". 😅

I have all 3. ProMax(work), plus (sisters) and standard. (My everyday) I would have gotten the plus over the max. does everything every day that the pro does, it’s lighter and it’s less buggy.

Same. The literal only thing that concerns me is the potential for them to restrict certain ai features to the 16. That would be such bullshit we all know the 15 is fast enough to run it too. If Apple does that they do not deserve my money anymore fuck them

iPhone 6s Plus here. Proud and still going. I’ll wait again. I’ve said this 2 phones ago but maybe I’ll purchase a cheap $100 phone to satisfy till 17 when the design has changed maybe. I’m glad you said this though on your opinion which sounds logical. But like you said since this is your job you kinda have to stay current to see your ideas on the product/s you have.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max with one terabyte of storage and I record all of my videos that I put on KZfaq with the iPhone and it’s still performing really good originally I was kind of thinking about maybe upgrading this year for the simple reason of having the USB-C But I’ve gotten used to this phone and I don’t think I will be upgrading.

I think the same way mate , if it is still working well , why change , and also in my own use , buying a new phone usually means setting the new device up how you like it , getting all the little nuances just right which can take time . Some people like a big change with a new phone and to spend a lot of time learning the extra slight changes , personally I like familiarity and consistency of a device I know well .

I really think if they focus on the OS more so than the hardware Apple can attract more converts from Android. The hardware doesn’t change as fast as the hardware. But the software experience can push people to upgrade or switch. My 14 is great!!

@@godzillafirebox7765Don’t know how it works in America but here in the UK it’s worth selling the old phone and then buying a new one straight from Apple on release day on 0% interest, the upgrade program is more expensive than doing it that way. I used to be part of the Samsung upgrade program when phones were reasonably priced but to be fair, yearly upgrades felt a bit boring so I quit 😅

I am planning on getting my first iPhone, and I am leaning towards iPhone 15 plus , because of the battery and screen size . The AI features only exclusive 16 would be that good that I should buy 16 plus instead. As some features will be Available to all iOS 18 phones . I have the 15 Pro Max and I use the action button ALL THE TIME. Since I made the switch from Android to iPhone when the XS Max was new, I have been stumped as to why Apple didn’t have a super-easy and quick mute switch. When I discovered that the physical switch on the side was not a true mute switch and only silenced system sounds, I was so disappointed. What is the point of a system sounds switch when media can still be played at full volume by accident in a library, bank, courtroom etc.? The Action Button finally fixed my last major gripe with iPhones. The other gripe that I had was not being able to set a schedule for days and times that the phone would automatically mute itself like I could on all of my Android phones starting with my first smartphone, the excellent HTC One. The Focus modes Apple added a while back took care of that. The Action button allows me to make an automation that sets the system media volume to zero and the iPhone to silent mode simultaneously, and that action can be tied to the action button so that it is a true mute button. To unmute, I set up the back tap function to unmute with two taps on the back of my phone. Problem solved. I think that it is short-sighted to claim that the action button is not as useful as the side switch. I think the very opposite: it adds a myriad of possibilities so that each person can choose to make it work for them however they see fit. Customization. Welcome to 2012, Apple.

I really want an upgrade, but really don’t need one. I have a 14 Pro. The reason I want one is because I’m tired of having two different charger plugs. My IPad Pro has the USB-C port, and you know the 14 has the lightning port. Not knowing what the price of the 17 Pro might be next year and if there will even be a major change has me thinking I may go ahead trade in.

I have the iphone 12 and i will keep it at least one more year. Dont feel need to swap and i dont see enough upgrades bump to make the swap. Also my battery health still at 84%, im pretty sure it holds fine one more year. But well thats me! Thanks.

I won't lie. I've been an iPhone user for six years. In terms of ecosystem, Apple have always been on top across all devices supported by their devices. But this year, I had to change! Their device design has literally not changed in over four years! It's depressing! I've moved over to the Honor Magic v2 Fold, and with a few add ons and updates, my new phone is top notch, without the notch!! My point is, both offer very similar features without the design compromises. Make a choice without being locked into a two or three year contract that forces your hand.

I have a 14 pro and value camera features. What I really want is a 48 megapixel telephoto lens. The problem is that rumors have this feature coming on the 17 pro in 2025. I don’t care about the 48 megapixel ultrawide coming later this year. On the other hand, upgrading this fall will get me 4k/60 ProRes (which the 15 pro also has). It will also likely get me the maximum Siri upgrade with the A18’s AI features. Bottom line, I will look at this fall’s introduction carefully but more likely than not wait for the 48 megapixel telephoto on the 17 pro.

I’m still using my low-end 11 and I have yet to see a single feature that compels me to upgrade. Occasionally, I’ll try out a new model at the Apple Store. The moment I pick it up and try to find something cool to try, I realize that it’s totally identical to mine. Plus, I just swapped out my screen and battery myself. It was easy.

iPhone 14 Pro Max here, and I don’t plan to upgrade until iPhone 18 unless there’s a needed feature locked off to me in regards to the AI or similar features. I’ll likely change out my battery in the next few months, and then be good to go. I want to see turn the iPhone into a fully capably AI System that can interface with other bits of tech and operate them for me. Imagine plugging in a USB-C cable into a device, and being able to execute tasks or reprogram it from the iPhone.

Again another great video. I have an XR and will not upgrade. I have the second battery installed and is doing flawless, just fine. As long as I can update to the actual IOS I will stick to it, no real reason to upgrade. Hopefully an iPhone Ultra will be released soon, then... I may upgrade ;-)

I have the SE3 and I am holding out for touch ID. You know the thing that apple pioneer but they are now like five years behind. Seems like that’s there deal these days. Let’s fall behind on the things we pioneered like touch ID and Siri. I don’t like that the phones are getting bigger either, my ideal phone size and screen size is the iPhone X. But when I upgrade, I think it will be either the 16 or 17 because I really want that optical zoom but I don’t want a giant phablet in my pocket

I was thinking about upgrading because when the 15 came out the iphone 11 the last iphone in the list for trade ins. So I figured the iphone 12 which is what I have the 12 pro max technically. Will now be on the bottom of the list. I want to get an ok amount back for my iphone when I trade it in. Now that' I'm hearing about the ultra for the iphone 17 I'm tempted to just wait for that, but not sure if it'll be worth the wait and if my iphone 12 will be bumped from the trade in list.

Current phone is an iPhone 13 Pro. It is working . But, since I use my phone more work, the bigger screen for the Max would actually help with using docs shared in Teams meeting. The new phone buys me more storage, bigger and better screen. I am considering trading for the 16 Pro Max

Nah, don’t think I’ll be getting this one but I might upgrade. My 12 has been acting up a bit lately and the battery has gotten quite poor and quite faster than my “still functioning XR” I’m more looking at the 15+ for screen size and decent camera upgrade in comparison however if the secondhand market won’t drop even a bit who knows I might get 12 or 13 PM whichever will still have new battery

Honestly while I love the iPhone 4 design, I don’t want us to go backwards. I want the best to be what’s next. I personally don’t have any appetite for a foldable or a flip phone from apple. I think it does really well with the form factors it has at the moment.

I'm still using an iPhone X with a broken back-glass that I haven't fixed. This year, the battery started to get all funky where it sometimes just reboots my phone and shows only 1% battery, then it goes into a reboot cycle until I try to smack the phone around and sometimes drop it purposely to fix it. I don't want to spend another $50 on a battery replacement so I'm just going to buy the iPhone 16 Pro (256GB) this year. Hopefully my phone is able to last till iPhone 16 releases.

I have an iPhone 13. I didn't know better at the time that the camera was rather substandard to the Pro Max, so I plan to jump to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I realize iPhone 17 is likely a game changer, but I'll pick it up with the next year's model.

I'm not upgrading. I'm sticking with my iPhone 13 Mini. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will build another Mini iPhone in a year or two. I just like a smaller form factor, a few extra features would be great, but I'm never going to anything bigger than my old iPhone XR.

I am on an Iphone 13 Pro Max. I usually upgrade every 3 years. I will have to wait and see if this is the year or squeak out one more year.

Judging by the slim approach taken with the new iPad Pro, I think it make sense to assume the only “major” difference between iPhone 15 and 16 will be how thin it is…. I’ll come back to this comment to say”I told you so” 🤣

New ipad is thin thanks to the M4 chip, so I don't think they will have that in the iphone 🤷♂️

That would be the dumbest thing they can do considering people use their phones all day and wouldn’t mind if it was a little thicker in return for a bigger battery.

I think iPhone should create another iOS but it’s unlocked like a jailbreak and let us do more things and have more control over the phone.

Regular models will have x3 zoom capability. Smaller pro model will have x5.

3:20 *”I never used the action button”* I frequently use the action button - and it’s _always_ an accidental press as my fingers are groping to find the volume up button. I’ve never understood the logic behind a single-function button when the same function could have been added to any already-existing button. But the location of the action button is certainly unfortunate.

I have the 15 now and I’ll probably be going with the 16 pro only because I wanted that usb-c speed and ability to send video to a external ssd live and the 15 pro does that and unfortunately I didn’t see the 15 didn’t do that until it was too late but that’s on me

I have the 15 pro max and I would love it if this phone could be half this size, wider, squattier or something more pocketable. Hearing the models are getting even bigger is not appealing at all. I will stick with this model. I hope in iOS 18 they think about moving the notifications to the bottom or middle of the screen where I can reach it

I was surprised by the fact that I could use HiRes on Pixel 8 Pro camera while using both night sight and zoom. That's nuts. The only phone that actually can do that

I have an iPhone 11. It works great and it’s doesn’t sound too compelling. I think I’ll wait for a bigger change. Or maybe go for the cheaper 15 once the 16 is released.
