Why buy an apple pie when you can make it homemade and just as good, if not better than at the bakery? And in addition much cheaper :) Often I prepare 2 pies so I can freeze the second. With a quick puff pastry and citrus jelly = happiness! Good tasting !
Ingredients :
60 g sugar (¼ cup)
2 eggs
3 tablespoons fresh cream
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
3 to 4 apples
1 homemade puff pastry
1 layer of citrus jelly
3 tablespoons jam
apricot or orange, or peaches...
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 little spice mix of your choice
(cinnamon, coriander, caraway, nutmeg
and cloves)
1 teaspoon orange blossom water
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
