On a more serious note can we just talk about how premium the interior of the car would actually be? If the Vision Pro Solo Knit Band is anything to go by. That interior would be a masterpiece.

Apple has a ton of cash on its balance sheet. Something north of $200 billion. I believe higher rates and slowing growth killed this project for Apple. However, Apple acquiring Rivian can be huge. Rivian’s market cap is $12 billion right now. They can buy it at a premium at $14 billion and it help accelerate their own branded car.

Actually, it sorta did. Not specifically the Vision Pro, but Apples optic technology. I’ve known about Apple’s optic endeavors through patents and accurate consultants since Covid.

Hmmm the timing could mean they are gearing up to buy Rivian. And with all that Rivian showcased recently it seems like they are screaming, ‘we’re a real company with great products, come buy us before it’s too late’ Don’t think this will actually happen b/c cars are low margin and dangerous for the brand…but it could happen.

The crazy thing is that Apple could have bought Tesla at the beginning of the Model 3 ramp. Also crazy that the reason Apple spent billions on exploring building an auto division in the first place was because of Tesla.

Why isn’t stock price dropping? They climbed 288% in the past 5 years. It wasn’t really a secret that they were working on a car, so I would expect stock price to reflect this. What else are they going to do? Just keep banking on phones and tablets forever?

Steve Jobs had several SL55 AMG. I personally believe the story about changing car every 6 months is a hoax, he was just too famous not to drive with plates so his "team" made that story up. He also had a BMW Z8 at some point.

Even though the science says the greater the diversity, especially at the leadership level, the more positive outcomes and processes increase... I was a Nurse at Kaiser Permanente where they practice this philosophy religiously and actively with checks and balances... Most amazing company I ever worked for!!!

I think there are alot of us out here still driving ICE cars because that is all we can afford or all that is practical for us who would definitely NOT see apple as heros if they just shut down ExxonMobil tomorrow and told us we were all shit out of luck. EVs are very cool and i hope to own one someday but that day is not today and won't be for a long time.

I can tell you’ve never ran a business. Unproductive spending, just for a “write off” is stupid. Line literally no business owner. Whatever do that as it’s better not to waste billions and pay tax on it as, even if your tax rate is 50%, you still keep half of it versus none of it.
