Thing is with the apple vision pro. U are legitimately getting a vr/ar laptop . Also comes equipped with a multiple monitor set-up. So if you where to price them out individually. Vr headset, laptop capable of running the headset and then tak on 2 more monitors . I'm thinking you will find something close to the vision pro . So in the end I think this is appls first time actually kind of justifying the price . 🤷🏽♂️

@@movienerd202as someone who has both Q2 and Q3. The differences are astronomical. My friends who upgraded could never go back. So, I do suggest the Q3 over vision pro if you want a good headset. Don't downgrade to a Q2 if you have the money

As someone who doesn't like Apple products, the vision pro is not meant to be affordable, this is either a marketing trick so when it is affordable everyone buys it, or rather it is only meant for developers to test their apps.

Quest 3 can be a 🖥 on your face too. There's already apps on the Quest 3 for it. Also, the support Meta is giving it for multi-touch, share info between window, the existing multitasking and hand tracking/gestures from 2021 has been working great for the quest/quest 2 even having low res b/w cameras. Apple's new thing or "innovation" is everything Meta did before and the capability of interacting with your eyes as a cursor, a more polished interface and audio quality.

Apple VP is dedicated to AR and will support VR. Meta Quest 3 is dedicated to VR and is a really good introduction to AR. Not the same target but for me AR will be massively adopted with glasses, not with headset because of the weight (VR players will know what I mean). So Meta Quest 3 is the winner because of the various functionalities it offers for its price.

I just went to get an Apple Vision Pro demo and oh my god that thing was crazy I was watching Mr beast on the freaking top of Mount Everest. I understand price is crazy but most people can only afford meta 3, so therefore they choose it. I am not either saying that I can afford it (literally nobody can) but the resolution is immensely better than the meta quest 3. But it also matters what type of person you are. If you like vr gaming, choose meta quest 3. If you want to have a tv twice as big as a movie theater in your bed whenever you want, Apple Vision Pro. If comparing both headsets without price, my opinion is Apple Vision Pro because I get dizzy playing games on meta quest 3. That’s just me after testing both.

The resolution is higher for the vision pro, maybe something on the line of 3200 X 3600 as the combined total reaches that 23 million that’s advertised vs the 16 million shown here.

correct that the apple vision pro is "fully standalone", but the quest 2 and 3 (when it releases) have fully functioning hand tracking, and both headsets will similarly require you to be in a fairly lit room.

@@chrikkebro, Meta HEAVILY overhauled the hand tracking on the Q2 and it already is better than what the vision pro has. That’s with the Q2, the Q3 has massively improved hand tracking compared to the Q2. AVP is overpriced as shit, and is worse than the Q3. Do your research man 🤦♂️

There’s no such thing as spacial computing that is Apple made up word to make you believe they are inventing something in which a next company has been developing and dominating for years everything the Apple Vision Pro can do my Quest 3 can do apart from the eye tracking and by the time Apple releases the Vision Pro the Quest 3 will be miles ahead in terms of features as Meta consistency adds new features and functionality to their headsets and Apple will be way behind and I already use my MacBook Pro with my Quest 3 so I wouldn’t need to get one

@@jdarg4163 I returned Quest 3 simply because it’s not a very good piece of tech. Looking for something much better. If you enjoy it, that’s awesome! You’re obviously not Apple’s market, whereas I’m personally really looking forward to what Apple has to offer. There’s something out there for everyone, and that’s what’s great now, more and more choice for everyone to find what they like.

You can do everything with the quest three that you could do with the Apple Vision Pro even get it for cheaper than Apple vision, pro if you sit your controllers beside each other, you can use your hands as the actual controller it’s way better. It even has cameras and you don’t have to carry a battery pack around.

Vision pro is technically has better specs. BUT it’s just slightly better than the quest 3 at 7 times the price. Also we still don’t know how many games the vision pro will support so for now the quest 3 is better for gaming and the vision pro is for work etc.

Apple is already behind the game with VR experience, quest is on its 4th headset technically and quest has a huge user range and the lower price will allow more people to use VR. I love my quest 2 definitely going with the 3. VR is mind bending experience.

So Apple collects your info as meta data and prides itself on privacy. Meta prides itself on selling your data and breaching privacy agreements to then sell your data again. So if I was rich I’d go with the Apple. I’m not and have real life priorities like kids and getting through life debt free so I’ll pass. Both are impressive though.

With 23 million pixels, you’ll be able to have a true depth 100 foot 4K micro oled display that looks better than anything made in real life. Again, I don’t think people are aware how good it will look.

Its like comparing Chromebook to I9 4090 gaming pc. If you actually did research in the VR/AR headset landscape you would realize the Vision pro is an amazing deal. Is it cheap hell no is it a good deal for what it is made up of hell yeah. The closest competitor is the hololens which is outdated can't do 80% of what the vision pro can and it's the same price. The other would be the Varjo XR-3 which is $6,500 and you cant even buy it unless you're a company. People need to stop comparing prices to the quest it's not realistic. Quests were always sold at a loss for Meta not for profit. Plus Meta isn't about pushing the boundaries in their consumer products its about making them as cheap as possible for mass adoption.

Quest 3: less accurate eye/hand tracking and for GAMES Apple Vision Pro: more accurate eye and hand tracking, and for people who are DEVELOPERS, to code VR games. And can also be used for casual use. Conclusion: quest 3 is for gamers, Apple Vision Pro is basically if you want a MacBook wherever you go, and for game developers

I see Vision pro as the ultimate 3D home theater, but 3D movies should still look amazing on the Quest 3 (plus you can probably get the movies for free on the Quest 3 if you know where to look.

Putting the price aside and from actually watching the reviews I like how sleek Apple Vision Pro is, the interface is better, it feels more like a part of your daily world rather than an object in the way. The quest seems like an object, the fake hand doing the clicking, the square around the open tabs, I saw it warp someone’s background in a video, so it doesn’t feel real, it feels like a game. From my understanding Apple doesn’t want it to feel like a game they want it to feel like you picking up your phone and using it with your naked eye just better and I definitely think it is. I wouldn’t buy it at this stage but I’m sure they’ll make absolutely great strides in the future and it will certainly be motte cost effective at some point.

Apple can get bent with their walled garden and locking you down to the Apple ecosystem. They'd probably block the use of gaming PCs for PCVR. But I hope the industry gets furthered somehow by the competition and ideas.
