I have an S8 and the flex cable is not damaged but the connector part (that connects to the display) is a bit corroded. How to clean it?

Hey Derek. You make that look so easy! Have you ever replaced the battery socket attached to the motherboard on a series 7, or even any of them. I spent hours trying to do it and it seems impossible without melting the socket. Maybe that would be an interesting video.

Yes, you need to remove the logic board and use a small soldering iron so that you can actually only touch the pins and not the plastic.
