How can you NOT root for Shane? He is not cocky. Doesn't run his mouth. Puts so much work into his game. Just a really awesome player. Other players should take note!

I agree, Appleton sometimes can be annoying and loud. But so is Strickland and he has a lot of fans. Appleton can contain himself at the table at least. And then there's the match from 2010 against Shane, where Appleton played like a god. I have yet to see something like that from Shane.

Most kicks, combos and banks are difficult enough by themselves, but when you kick, into a combo, into a full table bank...that's just pure boss mode. Freaking awesome shot!!! Shane is the man!!

he was actually surprised the 9 ball was going to him so fast that he had to avoid it. it was lucky, but skill brought him to where luck is on his side.

Appleton is using the 2nd gen ikon 6. I use the 7 and it's a beautiful hitting cue. So soft and 0 vibration.

Yes, isolated groups in the crowd were very immature and bothersome. As cool and gentlemanly as Shane is, note his disbelief and annoyance at the obvious attempt to distract him right before shooting his 9 ball at 24:23. Thankfully there are enough great pool players such as Shane and Daren to block out the occasional clowns heard in crowds.
