Constellation stars Noomi Rapace as Jo - an astronaut who returns to Earth after a disaster in space - only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing. They do seem to be filling the market gaps as they have some decent drama series and a few unique comedy series too. I find there's just a lot of typical action, action fantasy and superhero installments lately.

@Lebowski92 Foundation is based off a series by Isaac Asimov, basically a founding father of sci fi and its based in a technologically advanced universe and spans hundreds of years, you have 'See' with Jason Momoa, a Sci fi in an apocalyptic world where basically all the population is blind, and the story of 2 sighted kids born to a blind mother. Invasion is pretty good, standard alien invasion story but shows a lot of the human side of the story. For All Mankind is an alternative history of the space race to the moon. And then you have my favourite, Servant, which is a supernatural drama-thriller which is kind of hard to explain and some may find it boring but it's creepy and great.

@@c.lvr2602 It is very hard to remain 100% accurate to stories when moving between mediums for many reasons. Silo isn't accurate either but still fun. Honestly as long as they are good it is better this way because you get TWO good stories if you read the books and watch the shows.

I think with David Zaslaw at the helm of Warner Bros Discovery, HBO will go down, and Apple knows this is a strategic opportunity which will pay off handsomely in the years to come. Also it will provide content for their upcoming TVs, sorry Vision Pro headsets.

And the best thing is that, unlike other streaming services, they actually give their shows a chance to grow. Most other services would have cancelled Foundation after the mixed reception to season 1, but Apple didn't and season 2 was highly acclaimed and now season 3 is on the way

I remember in the 90s and early 2000s when you could tell if an actor's career was coming to a close if he or she appeared in commercials or TV shows. Today, the opposite is true. And TV shows are just as good as movies. We live in an amazing time.

From what I've seen in the trailer, it appears that this show is going to take us on a fascinating journey through alternate realities and parallel universes. I'm hooked!🔥 On the other hand, it's quite surprising to see Apple TV now allowing comments.

It looks like it could be about probabilities rather than strictly parallel universes. The guy speaks about the incident as if it's conscious, so it could be this thing has a way of affecting probabilities/realities to specific people that attempt to observe it and that's why not everyone appears to be effected. Someone mentions Noomi is crazy as if she's the only one, or one of few that are experiencing these abnormalities.

Indeed. I really like Foundation. Severance, & Silo are two I also enjoy. See (if it counts), Invasion & of course, For All Mankind as well. HBO, Starz & Netflix have only had ~1/2 I’ve really enjoyed the past 8 years or so.

I was stand-in for Jonathan Banks on 13 days in Oktober, November 22 and January 23 in Berlin and Potsdam-Babelsberg..That was a great experience. Joanthan Banks is a nice guy!

Davina Coleman's portrayal of the little daughter was simply jaw dropping. She sent shivers up my spine many times over. It's not often a child actor can act out emotions on such a sophisticated level. She played a major part in making this series as convincing and realistic as it is.

The last sci-fi series I watched because I heard Jonathan Banks was in it was The Expanse. Granted it turned out that it was just a cameo then, but it worked out pretty well for me. I'll try to go 2 for 2 with this.

I'd argue it did reveal too much though. The stuff with the old guy from Breaking Bad specifically. Him talking about the device, showing the little screen he was looking at with two circles(worlds/universes) splitting off and becoming parallel. It's basically given it away and spoiled that she got universe switched. If they had left that stuff out we could have had the initial question and mystery of "Is she actually just crazy and hallucinating?" until it is otherwise revealed in the show.

@ThePhilocrates True, there's obviously something more than crazy going on. Being scifi parallel universes are the go to answer. But how and why is the question... that then basically gets answered right in the trailer. I guess their data says their projected audience likes it that way?

Better idea: release 3-4 episodes per week. Allows for a little binging but builds suspense for the next week. Also you won't be up until 3am binging

Truly remarkable to see the zero-gravity scenes executed so well! Many shows seem to miss the mark when it comes to such detailed work... Kudos to the stunt team for their exceptional effort! I've heard they developed a unique, massive rig just for this production.

I think Apple TV is on the right track, but they need to fine tune it a little bit more, some of the series are really slow burners and to slow for my taste, and I think they are on the right track with series/movies like Monarch, Silo, Grey hound, black bird. I like good stories, but there has to be enough excitement that keep you on the edge of your seat. Also music is one of the biggest drives in a movie or serie to keep you on the edge of the seat, even if there isn't much happening in the scene. Hope this one will also be a good one.

I have a major crush on Naomi Rapace. Just watched Close and it was excellent so I am very excited to see her in what looks like an original story. Kudos to the trailer for being enticing without giving the whole plot of the movie away. Just when I was going to cancel my Apple TV+ subscription…

Loads of Returnal vibes... the game studio behind Returnal is Housemarque... and they are Finnish. The Winter locations in this series were filmed in Inari, Finland. Coincidence?
