WOW, A breath of fresh air to watch an openly honest video. Please make more videos, much to be learned from your methods!!

This video was exactly what I needed to figure out how to get a dark inlay strip on my box lid.

Bob, I so much enjoy your tutorials. Thank you for selflessly sharing your techniques with the woodworking community. I'm currently mimicking some of your designs to up my game.

It is very disappointing the COVID times we are in. I am so impressed with Bob's approach and style I would definitely request and pay for a one-on-one class with him. His KZfaqs are so helpful, but I have so many nuanced questions that only shop time and getting to know the artist could solve.

What is the brand of that squaring chisel? I cant find it anywhere. Nice video I enjoyed
@bobdickey2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I see that it is no longer on the market. I purchased it from Lee Valley several years ago. Subsequently, I saw that it was designed by Ian Hawthorne in the UK, and they apparently he and Lee Valley had a falling out over attribution, royalties or whatever, and Lee Valley stopped selling it. Ian was always saying he was going to produce and sell it instead, but haven't seen it since.

@@bobdickey Thanks for the reply, I actually build board games for a living. I have a squaring chisel. But the design of yours seems more stable and low profile. I will do some research.

Watched all your videos several times "start to finish". Would love to take a class from you "when the world is normal, non-COVID-19" to learn your techniques. ...

You eyeball the router when cutting the groove? How do you not accidentally go too far?
@artnabox56155 жыл бұрын
I look for the line drawn on the panel and make sure I stop before hitting it. The open router base and light definitely help, but before I had that, I used a desk lamp to illuminate the area so I could see the line.
