Sri M is a spiritual guide, social reformer and educationist. His transformational journey - from a young boy to a living yogi - is a fascinating story. He recently completed Walk of Hope - A 15 month long padayatra (walking on foot) in 2015-16, from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, spanning 7500 kms across 11 states of India for peace, harmony and tolerance.
In his talk at Google he describes his journey, learnings and gives practical techniques for Mindfulness.

Although I love the silken robes of Sadhguru, Sri M dresses like a normal Western man and therefore reaches more people I think. I have read his first book and am reading his second one and love what he has to tell us. I study his videos on KRIYA YOGA and learn so much. For me he is a lovely bridge between the West and the East, much needed at this time to re-position our material greed on to a more even and Universal footing at last. Thank you Sri M and Google for making this information available to us at this time.

Sad-guru, even though initially I found him to be interesting, is pretty insidious chap who clamors for power and prestige. His not so subtle support for fascists in India is a great example (as are some of his talks) of his underlying ideas of supremacy and hatred for minorities.

@@veritas1176, though i support the ruling party in india, sad guru seems a showman to me as well... Many of the questions posted to him.. He will not answer or he glide to another topics. The depth of knowledge seems lacking in sadguru.. Sri M too is a supporter of the ruling party of india, i know this as iam from india and have seen may of his interviews in local language where one can see him subtly supporting ruling establishment ,but M is more dignified, elegent and measured in reaction and open to criticism, and he admits that he dont know everything, that there are manythings beyond his knowledge..

Yes, I think that Modi government is fascist and camouflage in the garb of Hinduism. In a country like India, where even the Supreme Court Justice can not exercise free speech under Modi fascism, you think they'll keep quite if Sri M says anything untoward..

It's about walking the talk and living what you actually preach by example! Just an example, Osho was telling the same but we know what he did and how he treated ppl who put trust in him! Well said - no guru is duplicate - they teach different angles of spiritual understanding/unenfoldment from different tangents so people can glimpse a more holistic picture of not so easy to grasp topic. This differing persona and guru talks should be appreciated not judged - since we are all different.

Learn to meditate, learn to stay conscious/aware in deep sleep and you'll experience the reality beyond the five senses that Sri M is talking about. It's not something that can be conceptualized by your intellect. It can only be experienced. You have to practice meditation (concentration on truth) with curiosity and joy, not with greed. Be your own scientist. Good luck!

The Truth it’s really simple. Learn to increase your ability to focus through meditation for awhile, then use your enhanced ability to concentrate on something simple and positive while falling asleep, such as the symbol for OM. If you continue correctly, as you fall asleep some measure of your conscious awareness will continue in to the dream state. Be prepared that it could be overwhelming if you haven’t already heightened your awareness through meditation.

One could not hear the questions posed by the members of the audience. Google is a hi-tech company. They could have arranged for a microphone to be passed along amongst the audience during the Q&A session. Low-tech production values from a hi-tech IT giant! Actually, the Giant in the auditorium was the humble, self-realized master, Sri M!!!

Yes, irrespctive of any conditions. Only qualification is, you need a human body by human birth. Because the faculty to seek knowledge, is only imbibed in a human mind. The human body supports that seeking mind and aids one to experience - the results, that accumulates, after the seeking, which results in an experience based knowledge and not just a knowledge, in theory. Its this practical experience which is called Siddhanta. When it is in theory its called Vedanta. Seek a Siddha Guru like Guru Siyag. You will get all your answers. All the best. Just Google.

all I needed was one little sign that the tech giant was not as smart as it presented itself. and the fact that they don't have roving audience microphones for an event that was going to have a question and answer time afterwards is proof that Google isn't as bright as they like to see themselves as.
