Wow, I remember watching this 7 years ago when I was a Jetstar engineer. Fast forward to today and I'm now an airline pilot. I'll see me in another 7 years I guess!
@borarider6693 жыл бұрын
hello sir, just wondering did you become airline pilot through flight school ? and in australia do you need to have atpl in order to become a airline pilot ?

I'm A Sydney born living in Adelaide. I used to holiday with relatives, as a young boy, in leichardt. Earliest memories are of watching the Fuselage of Jumbos flying so low i felt i could just about touch them. Now i can see the flight path from Gladeville Bridge, over Leichardt, & on to SYD Airport

I always approach and touch down with the heels of my feet on the floor so I have good leverage on the rudders. The manual wheel brakes are applied using the top of the rudders with your toes. You don`t want the manual brakes on during touchdown, so heals on the floor is good. I use auto-brakes after touchdown and during the initial roll-out. So when I transition to manual brakes, I guess I grab the glare shield when I lift my feet up to apply manual brakes for the turn off the runway. - Stan

How many rudders are there in your case? What type of aircraft exactly as some have more than one rudder, particularly Military Aircraft.

This is absolutely outstanding, thank you! It is really nice that some pilots are able to share the otherside of the flight deck door for those of us that love aviation but aren't pilots. I think it does you and your profession great credit. I hope for many more like it!

These off-center POV's are better at relaying the real sense of speed of the plane as it's landing. Center mounted cameras create the illusion that the plane the going very slowly. These work better for my eye. Nice vid.

The Captain looks like Malcolm Turnbull!
@MrOgulcan358 жыл бұрын
+Mark Nicol Who is Malcolm Turnbull ? Malcolm Bligh Turnbull (born 24 October 1954) is the 29th and current Prime Minister of Australia. He became prime minister and Leader of the Liberal Party in 2015 and has been the member of parliament for Wentworth since 2004.[2] Turnbull attended Sydney Grammar School before going to the University of Sydney, where he received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws. He then attended Brasenose College, Oxford, as a Rhodes Scholar, where he attained a Bachelor of Civil Law. Before entering politics, Turnbull worked as a journalist, lawyer, investment banker and venture capitalist. In 1993, he became the chairman of the Australian Republican Movement, serving in the position until 2000. Briefly Minister for the Environment and Water in the Howard Government in 2007, Turnbull was elected Leader of the Liberal Party in September 2008, becoming Leader of the Opposition. In November 2009, his support for the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme proposed by the Rudd Government split the Liberal Party, and in a ballot the following month Turnbull lost the leadership to Tony Abbott by one vote. Initially intending to leave politics, Turnbull remained in parliament and eventually became Minister for Communications in the Abbott Government in September 2013. On 14 September 2015, after consistently poor opinion polling for the government, Turnbull challenged Abbott for the leadership and won the subsequent ballot by 10 votes.[3] He was sworn in as prime minister the following day and formed the Turnbull Government.[4]

First of all every plane has a gate. It's not like in the car where you FIND one. And second of all the ATCs tell you on which way you get there and you have the route in your flightplan
