Love your choices. Green and purple will always make me think of the Joker lol. Also, Happy early birthday! I'm an April baby too and I went to Chicago and stopped by Atlas Stationers. Spent over 3 hours in there. 4 birthday pens and 4 Vinta inks later 😩

❤ Oh my! Are you serious? Diamine is going to release full bottles of of 2023 Inkvent colors? Any idea when? I have been searching and searching for the Diamine Rainbow's End ink! Great color combinations for this month! I have Purple Reign and the Monteverde Purple Mist. The only Diamine ink I have so far in my newbieness is Diamine Cerise. I love it, and it has a beautiful green sheen. Thank you so much! Lisa

I'm not sure when!! The last couple of years they come out in the summer time, so hopefully then! That Diamine Cerise sounds magical 💖

@@mydandeliondiaries Some may think the Cerise isn't exciting, but I love the color. It can be a bright pink or, in a heavier saturation of the ink, it is very much a cherry red. If you just put a big drop on the page and let it dry naturally, the perimeter of the drop will have the green sheen. I don't think it would sheen in handwriting. I also like the name which is the French word for cherry.

Great choices!! Love the bright colors you went with. I have Boysenberry on my list for May. I plan on putting it into my TWSBI 1.0 stub. I got a sample that was gifted to me. Such a beautiful color. I thought about Antique Sepia for May but decided to go with a bolder green (Emerald Fusion by BPC). I lean towards muted colors almost always so want to step out of that and give bold colors the spotlight for a change. I will probably still have a muted color thrown in there (stonecutters song probably). When it comes to Robert Oster... the shimmer ink that clogged my pen almost every time (I store my pens up) was Rose Gold Antiqua... which is a stunning color. I will give that ink another chance but not pull up as much shimmer I think. Emerald Gardens is so pretty. I really hope Diamine releases the bottles also. I want to try several of the 23 inkvent colors.

The Boysenberry would look AMAZING in a Stub! I'm so tempted to get a bottle of Emerald Fusion after the sample I got. Next BPC order its going in the cart haha. I haven't had clogs before with RO, but I think laying the pen horizontal caused the shimmer to settle in the feed. It was really easy to fix though, I just ran some water over the feed and it was good as new. I think the Diamine inkvent bottles come in the summer? Not 100% sure but that seems to be the trend for the past couple of years.

You APOLLO-gize for your dog Apollo? 😏😏 get it? 🤣🤣 I’m surprised about the flex fine nib. I’ve been thinking about getting a flex nib but maybe I’ll avoid taking that particular plunge with Esterbrook… 🤔

Hehehe this made me giggle 😂 The flex nib was pretty underwhelming. I haven't tried too many flex pens, but my Monteverde omniflex nib flexes more than this one.

Do not go with the flex nib on these. I had an Extra Fine Flex and I had to send it back it was so bad (the nib was sent back, not my wonderful Estie). The folks at Esterbrook were so nice about it, but definitely skip the flex and go with a regular or one of their specialty grinds.

I'm so surprised that you're not having clogging issues with the FWP in your EF. I have the FWP Queen Allium shimmer ink in my Nahvalur Original Plus with medium nib and I've had nothing but clogs 🤦‍♀️

Oh no! I like to store my pens with shimmer upright in a cup or a pen stand so the shimmer doesn't settle in the feed. I never seem to have issues with TWSBI's clogging with shimmer. I also agitate the ink before I write.

I absolutely hate plastic ink bottles!!! The smaller Diamine have a use though in being super travel friendly, but things like Robert Oster and Troublemaker irk me!!

A very pretty ink selection for this month! Somehow I ended up with greens and purples and blues for this month ☺️ I LOVE jacaranda 💜 from the first time I saw it on some inkvent video and waiting for the bottle! Let me know if you found a fix for your Jinha nib. Lately I ended up with 3 in M and 1 in F, who had the same issues (being incredibly dry and hard starts) and nothing I tried helped so far (brass sheet, micromesh…) 🫤

Thank you! For the Jinhao nib, I used a brass sheet and pushed lightly down on the tines incase they had misaligned and it fixed it. I had another 82 that I had to soak in water for 24hours as some of the testing ink from the manufacturer had dried in the feed, that seemed to fix it as well!

@@mydandeliondiaries oh that’s great that you could fix the nibs so easily! 👌 I‘m more and more thinking that my M nibs may have railroading/babies buttoms. That I can’t fix myself, yet 😅
