SBRE Brown is really pretty...he really did a good job on his own ink haha :D Thanks for sharing the browns. I definitely love the special browns on your right side! The Document Urban Sienna is super pretty, hopefully it writes dark like the darker parts of your swatch and the written portion, those are gorgeous.

Thank you for watching! I'm going to give the Urban Sienna a good chance haha, it is a pretty warm brown but if it is too light, I can't do more than the sample haha

Hi Danielle! You did a great job pronouncing the French names! Caffe Des Iles = "Caf-ay dez eels" is the closest I can relay the name! It means literally "Coffee of the Islands", but it's "Island Coffee"! Loved this video, your ink-splorations are awesome!!!

Wonderful video as always even though brown isn't exactly my favorite color. My black alternatives are either charcoal or dark blue. I'm sure you already know this, but Diamine makes the Akkerman inks so most of them have Diamine dupes - not 100% exact, but about 95%, i.e. S.B.R.E. Brown = Diamine Ochre. Herbin Cafe des Iles sounds like cafay (you had that correct) dayzeel (spoken like it's all one word).

KWZ inks are not “scented” as some scented inks are. The “vanilla” odor in all their inks is really a chemical compound used as anti-fungal. Same can be said of the Noodler’s inks (almost all have the same odor) it’s just the odor doesn’t remind you of a scent.

Have you tried Inkebara? They're Czech and have some really beautiful browns. I specially love Cinnamon and Earth.

2:45 Hi Madam. Unfortunately that ink has been a huge disappointment for me; regardless how much time you give it to dry, it will essentially NEVER be smudge free!!! It will smear almost all the time you touch it with your hand! I would never be considering purchasing again this ink in the future!!! 😢😢😢

I am so sorry to hear that this ink failed you :( Depending on if you have a sample/bottle you can gift it, or try to sell it! There are lots of brown inks out there so I hope you can find a winner ❤️️

@@mydandeliondiaries thanks. I am not if it would be ethically correct on my end to try to pass “a problem” onto another person. In my humble opinion, of course. To give you any idea of how bad is that ink in drying, I have left the drops for like two full days, and the ink was still not dried, on a Tomoe River paper, 68 gsm! Simply, a failure ink. A relatively good ink is J. Herbin Terre d’Ombre, but you will need to combine it with a wet pen, or it might not work well. For example with my Pilot Custom 823 , you will still have skipping even with this latter ink. Cheers and have a good day!
