I've gotten some pretty obvious reprints from Viz over the last year and a lot of them don't have updated printing info on them so I think it is becoming a more common thing. Glad you're giving Cross Game a shot!

I actually think it’s kind of interesting to see how many reprints a volume has had but I suppose it’s not a priority for them to update.

Yeah I’ve already seen a few posts about Sketchy incorrectly calling it a josei manga so I wanted to be sure to call out Kodansha and point out the error since it will definitely cause confusion. I actually forgot about the Orb anime so thanks for reminding me lol

As for those reprints, they properly just didn't update it. Yen Press and Seven Seas, from what I can tell, never do. Yes, put them publishers on blast! Obviously it's not out of error, they've chosen to lie as a marketing scheme. And that's what irks me, too, is that they're purposely lying, for whatever reason they think its gonna help them, to misinform their customers. Don't do that. Don't be weasely.

I think Viz usually updates them, I’m not sure why they didn’t this time. Seriously, how difficult is it to write “fans of josei manga will love this” or something? It would still be a little annoying since obviously josei is not a genre so there’s no guarantee that someone who previously enjoyed a darker josei, for example, would like this. But at least then they wouldn’t be putting blatant falsehoods on their manga.

The first omnibus was interesting and I’ve never seen another manga explore this subject before, so for me it’s worth reading for that reason alone.
