I guess I need to look out for the Panorama of Hell repress because the other three in that tier are all in my top 10. I've got the full sets of Soloist and Laughing Under the Clouds sitting on my TBR rn too. Picked up the first six volumes of Arslan recently only to discover a lot of the middle volumes are OOS everywhere.

I truly enjoyed this type of recap video! It gave me, as a non-native speaker a lot more visual keys to fully understand your points. I do really think you need another category next time between Good and Forgettable, like you mentioned as well :D Something like: "OK". I think you are the first one to prais Arslan so highly and that gives me hope and makes me happy at the same time. I have not checked it out yet myself but a) I like the art and b) the genre is usually exactly what I enjoy reading. I will check out Vol.1! Thank you, like always, for the nice watch :)

We in Germany already have after god to volume 4 and it is not recommended..... Better save the money for something else

One shots/short story collections are so hard to rank, I think. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed Nude Model, I loved the last story. I think i need to check out Her Frankenstein!

Great video! I really enjoy making tier list videos even though they tend to get downvoted more than any other of my videos. I agree with you on Nude Model a very lackluster short story collection with nothing that really stood out. I was expecting more from a highly regarded mangaka. I really need to read Alice in Borderland now that it's all released. Looks intriguing.

Great TBR beck they only ever published 12 volumes. Rave Master is my middle school years!!! Wish I could finish collecting it. I loved it! I also enjoyed Fairy Tail ❤❤❤

I really wanted to like Basilisk because the synopsis sounded so interesting and I liked the cover art (plus: ninjas!!!) :D But I only got through the first three volumes before dropping it. I couldn't STAND the portrayal of all of the female characters in it. Maybe it redeems itself later on and maybe I am just too sensitive. I really am looking forward hearing your opinion on the series! What a great and fun way to fill your TBR! I need to do something similar to tackle my unread series, but all of those are longer series (Yona, Kenshin, Berserk, X/1999) - ouf. But then again, your series are not the smallest either ("35 is nothing" - whaaaaaat? :D ). Good luck and lots of fun!!

I love Homunculus, the second omnibus is really hard to get through. It is the most intense of the series, it’s also super sexist. But it for a reason it illustrates a lot about Nakoshi. It really sets the stage for his downfall. I’m eagerly waiting for the last omnibus. I like your videos a lot, thanks for making them

The original version of Yotsuba & by AD Vision, 1-5, is much better than the Yen Press version. The ADV version did the first time translation and it's smooth and intuitive. The Yen Press version, in order to not infringe on ADV's work, did a re-translation and avoided all of the original translated dialogue and had to come up with all new wordings. Same with the original 4 volume Azumanga Daioh. Original ADV translation is much better.

Having a complete run of Barefoot Gen is very awesome. One of the best comic works of all time, not just manga.

Hmmmm, I don't think you're going to like Just Like Mona Lisa. I was watching a channel showing off their manga collection, talking about each series....but they were all in German. They had that series and she said the mangaka basically used gender as an avenue to justify the romance, nothing more. (the mangaka even stated this within the back notes)....so ya. But hey at least there seems to be an array of other interesting series to come out soon.

Yeah I put They Were 11 in the same category as The Solitary Gourmet by Jiro Taniguchi both books that have been delayed 2+ years and will probably be another 2 years before we see them. I'm just going to pretend they were cancelled and be pleasantly surprised when/if they show up. A few books I'm looking forward to that you didn't mention: Rose of Versailles Episodes Vol 1 (spin-off series by the original creator done 25 years after they did Rose of Versailles) 10/31 Yokai: The Art of Shigeru Mizuki (Drawn & Quarterly release) 10/15 The Spellbook Library Vol 1 by Uta Isaki 10/22 I.L. by Osamu Tezuka 10/1 (I'm picking up all the Tezuka releases obviously but this is the one expected to come out this year that really has me intrigued)
