The bike has been in for service with leaking spark plug gaskets for almost one month now, with no ETA of the replacement parts in sight.

I bought a 21 Tuono 660 in June…I ordered a quick shifter and IMU the day I bought the bike. I got a call first week of October that it finally came in! I was super excited so I took the 2 hour drive to the Aprilia shop and dropped it off…I asked how long would it take to be done and was told it would take a couple of days…got the bike back 2nd week of November, just in time for the cold weather. I’m going to have to buy a Japanese bike so I have something to ride while my Aprilia is in the shop…😢

Dude, had the same issue Down Under on my E5 TV4F, into the shop at 6000km and 3 weeks later good to go. Was nowhere near as bad as your leak. Another 3000k later and she is still clean as a whistle not using a drop of Fuchs. Winter down here so it was not half the inconvenience you went through. Next stop here in Perth AU Spring 😃. Ride safe up there and play the music!

Take a deep breath. I know how you feel. I can't find 20 inch tyres for my 911. Waiting on order for 6 weeks, may be another 6 weeks. At least winter will be over. Meanwhile, when your parts become available and you're back on the road give some thought to ordering extra x1 or even x2. If this happens again in 5000 miles you'll be good for the fix. One day off the road for repairs beats 30 days every time. Safe travels, Mike.

My 21’ RSV4 had the same issue, they replaced the spark plug gaskets and it still kept leaking so beware that sometimes that doesn’t fix the leaking issue. I ended up having to get whole new bike. My dealer decided to forgo the warranty process and just order parts from AF1 and take eat the costs themselves instead of waiting on warranty claim. Maybe your dealer will do the same since they are new and want to build some goodwill.

Got the bike back after five weeks and ironically they ordered the parts from AF1 also after waiting endlessly from Piaggio. lol.

My tuono is also leaking a lot of oil. I have to put oil every 150km. The aprilia dealership told me they gona swap the valve gaskets. Lets see if it works...

Sorry to hear about the problem. I have the same bike and the fuel gauge just started to malfunction last week, 2300 miles. Gonna take a month or so for the part to get here and not affecting the bike so I have it back but here in California it’s 100 degrees outside and not fun to ride in. October can’t get here soon enough. I’m very lucky as I have a top notch dealer 10 minutes from me but yes parts can take awhile to get. I considered getting what I would consider a more reliable bike like an MT-10 but I just can’t justify it, in-line 4’s are so boring to ride imo so I bought my Aprilia, my second and just deal with the occasional issue. Good luck with getting your bike fixed up.

I love this bike, the way it sounds, and the way it rides. I was joking with a friend is that there isn't even anything I'd want to replace this with. Luckily I got the bike back after five weeks.

My 21 rsv4 has been to dealer for 3 times for oil leak, they still leak but I’ve lost confidence in my dealer and decided to order parts from AF1 and replace them myself even though I’m still in warranty.

14000 miles, 2022 year, mine has been great! No issues, I would pay 25K for this. I had a Duc streetfighter and tons of issues by 3000 miles

Mine has the same issue, took it twice now and it’s still leaking, I contacted Aprilia and the are looking into the issue. I waited 3 months for the parts

2021 touno v4 , great bike to ride ,as long as you maintain speeds over ,70 mph. The bike will over heat , even though the one speed fan comes on at 214 degrees Fahrenheit. When the happens the temperature will continue to climb to 221 and then your fuel sending unit in the tank overheats as the fuel boils up and your gas gauge will fault and blink on the dash . Aprilia has done nothing to rectify the issue

I've had my bike in tons of stop and go traffic and have never had anything like that happen. I'd try reaching out to corporate if your dealer isn't helping.

Known rsv4 issue but not so much a tuono... But aprilia tells you that the rsv4 is not meant to be a daily commuter and sit idle for periods. Race oriented bikes have there flaws when asked to do red light racing...

Sanks for pumping up my anxiety 😩 My utah plate took two months to show up. Vegas dealer didn't update the ECU like I told them to, so I can't upload the Gabro tune. Idaho dealer still hasn't gotten even an ETA on my MIA unit, and I don't want to go there twice for ECU update and then for mia. Sfv4 doesn't feel as powerful as tuono tbh, you have to wot rev it to the moon, all the power is in the top end, it feels like it has no torque compared to tuono that can be short shifted all day.

I've also heard the same thing about the SFV4 compared to the Tuono as well. Luckily I got the bike back after 5 weeks.

Welp mine got the same o ring failure. Luckily getting fixed in under a week. Aprilia first tried to deny the claim but gave in. Any more leaks since the fix or all good now?

Yeah, I just got my 2022 Tuono 660 Factory on 12/24/22 and after taking it home, I saw an oil leak out of the stator gasket and rear brakes is squeaking like crazy. Brought it back to the dealer couple of days later and told me yes, it's a well know issue (oil leaking) and they've submitted the claim to Piaggio and it will take 2 weeks for the parts to arrive and also fixed the squeaky brakes. Three weeks passed by and I called back the dealer and stated that the $20 stator gaskets ( and other gaskets that's inevitable will leak ) wouldn't arrive until 2/15/23! I said, that's not cool to have a brand new bike leaking like this and suggested that AF1 has those gaskets in stock and told them to get it from that shop. Waiting for parts to arrive now hoping this will fix it. I'll provide an update later. Btw, this 2022 Tuono factory only has 625 miles on it.

I just picked up a 2022 Tuono v4 and I’m having the same issue with oil leaking from the stator. I just got it out of the shop yesterday because it had undiluted coolant in it and was overheating every single time I was stopped for 45 seconds - 1 minute. I’m beyond frustrated right now.

I have a 14’ fz1 and I sat on the tuono today and it fits great (tall rider). The only thing holding me back is the reliability. Do you foresee any other issues??

I can't with confidence say it will be reliable as a Yamaha, because it probably won't be. However, the V4 in these has been around for quite some time and it is a pretty solid and reliable power train.

Just a heads up AF1 racing should have the parts in stock. Not sure if your dealership can work it out with them. I have the same issue with my 2021 RSV4. I am sure that you have reached out to Aprilia customer care already, but you can push on them.

Thanks for the heads up about the Customer Care line! Honestly I am starting to think this is on my dealer. I've noticed AF1 has had the parts for like two weeks now...

Yea unfortunately my 2021 RSV4 has been in the shop for almost 2 months now, been working with customer care and just found out today that the dealership didn’t submit the warranty claim properly with all of the parts so not all of the parts needed were ordered so now it will be another 10-15 days if all goes well. Also Italy is on holiday for the month of August so it is harder to get answers from them right now. I have come to realize the dealership does make a MASSIVE difference. From what Aprilia customer care told the the parts were in stock as of this morning and that is was a 10-15 day lead time for them to arrive in the US. I wish you the best of luck, and hope you get your bike back sooner that I do lol! These situations really really suck. When you call customer care You can also request to speak to the Director of After Sales doe Aprilia. He is supposed to be back from Vacation on 8/25. I am hoping to speak to him to see if anything else can be done since it will be about 2.5 months before I can get my bike back…. Sucks….

Bmw has had my s1kr since march 😢 I have a 21 tuono v4 im hoping doesn’t have to many issues. It does have a slight leak tho that I need to bring it in once the snow is gone but fortunately I have 2 aprilia dealers by me

This has more to do with Int’l supply chain issues than Aprilia. I’ve been waiting on Yamaha parts since March. We will continue to see these problems over the next 18 mos to two years.

That sucks, sometimes I wish the dealer would keep parts that are 'known failure items' in stock at the dealership or have a parts warehouse. Have previously sold a bike that I just couldn't get parts for, no fun. Shame it had to happen to a brand new bike.

Great, now I have this oil leaking problem to look forward to. I have a 2019 Tuono that I bought new in 2020 and only has 4500 miles on it. This damn thing burns a quart of oil every 1500 miles and of course my warranty just expired A few months ago and the dealer tells me it’s normal and to deal with it myself. Always owned CBRs in the past and I was hesitant to buy an Italian motorcycle but I fell in love with this bike until I discovered it was burning a ton of oil and the dealer didn’t give a shit. Off to a very poor start. This is my last Italian motorcycle unfortunately.

Got the bike back after about a month. As of now I have about 6,700 miles on the machine and have been loving it. Have a video coming out soon!

Very misleading headline and unfair to Aprilia. Supply chain issues are the problem and that's the end of it. This video could have been half as long and told the same story with less whining.
